Sometimes the best nights are the ones you never expect. Neither of us had planned to go out that evening in college, but it ended up changing everything. Early in the night, I noticed Tanner across the bar, though I didn’t quite have the nerve to introduce myself. Hannah and I wandered to another spot, only to end up back where we started — and there Tanner was again. As we were leaving, Hannah gave me the push I needed to go back inside and actually talk to him. I told him I thought he was handsome, we exchanged numbers, and shared our first kiss. Something about it all just felt different. For the next two days, we talked nonstop. When we finally hung out, it was immediately clear that this was the start of something real. What began as a random night out quickly became a relationship that has shaped our lives. Over the past six years, we’ve had the chance to learn each other, love each other, and grow together — and now we can’t believe we’re getting married. Tanner proposed in Atlanta on February 21st before a concert by one of our favorite artists. He had planned to wait until the next day but was too nervous and excited to hold onto the secret any longer. I was completely shocked and speechless. We’re so excited for this next chapter and grateful to celebrate it with the people we love most.
