We first met in August of 2007 in Alberta, Canada… at Lorensas and Kimberly's wedding. We naturally gravitated towards each other and had a blast together over the weekend. After the wedding, we kept in touch for some time but then disconnected and moved on with our lives. Fast forward 14 years… May 29, 2021… here is Chaz: "I got an unexpected text message from my uncle Bob.  He said he met a girl he thought would be good for me.  Although I was not looking for a relationship, I was intrigued, as the timing of the text was just right! When he sent me Laura's name I was surprised she was still single and excited to get in touch! Looking back, I really truly believe God made her wait for me all these years till I am ready… I’m sorry baby! " - "All worth it, Chazy! :)" Reconnecting for us was easy, like no time had lapsed at all. It just felt right, secure and natural. We did A LOT of talking and grew to appreciate and love who each other is and who we strive to be… Pandemic lockdowns and quarantines meant that we had to google for a restriction free place to meet. Enter San Miguel de Allende - a historical, romantic and laidback gem in the heart of Mexico! New Years celebration, horseback rides, airbaloons, meeting the parents, roof top dining and lots of sun - such an adventure! On January 19, 2022 on a horseback ride, somewhere in the a brilliant sunset of a Mexican desert, he asked her merry him, and she said ‘yes’ :) This last year has been a marathon of planning, anticipation, prayers, surprises, adventures, acquaintances and lots of love! We managed to spend 4 months together, every three months apart. We traveled England, Wales, Scotland, Ohio, Oregon, California, and a whole lot of San Miguel! :) We are so excited that in the end, all of that brings us to March 21, 2023! We are gonna do it!! Believe it or not! Finally! :) We are so grateful to God and to all of you, who supported us over the years and as a new couple, who prayed, encouraged and counselled us in wisdom! :) We love you guys, and can’t wait to celebrate our new beginning together with you in Mexico!!!
