For those that make it to town on Friday, or who are already in town, meet us at one of our favorite neighborhood bars, Atkins Park Tavern (PS - their food is great). An Atlanta legend, the original Atkins Park Tavern Restaurant enjoys a colorful history as Atlanta’s oldest continuously-licensed tavern. What began as a deli in 1922 is now a smart-casual restaurant that offers upscale comfort cuisine. The Atkins Park Tavern Restaurant Group offers family dining, weekend brunch, and late-night drinks. Original location is in Virginia Highland on North Highland Ave

There is parking in the gravel lot behind the venue, accessible from the main entrance. A parking attendant will be on site to issue parking vouchers (to be placed on your dashboard) to guests between 6:00-7:30 pm. If you arrive before or after this time frame, you will have to pay your own self-parking using one of the pay machines located in the gravel lot. Once you park, follow the signs to the Piedmont Garden Tent, down the stairs or ramp to the white wedding tent. Park Tavern blends a rich history with the modern skyline views. Built in 1905, the area called the Tavern Bar was used as horse stables for local equestrians and racing enthusiasts. The stone façade features Stone Mountain granite. In 1928, a nine-hole golf course opened in Piedmont Park and the building was converted to the course Club House. While the building has been added on to in many ways over the years, the history and stories associated with this location are still cherished.
