In February 2016, Rachel moved into a house basement apartment in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood in Atlanta. One Friday night she heard loud music coming from the apt above her. Her extroverted personality led her upstairs to meet her housemate neighbors; Chayse lived above her with 3 roommates. At the time they met, they were both seeing other people. They hung out with their neighbors regularly, and became good friends. On Halloween 2016, they went to a party and after a few adult beverages, had their first kiss. A couple of weeks later, Chayse asked her on their first date to a Hawks game with Gucci Mane performing at halftime. It was a very awkward first date because both of them were used to being just friends, and now it was developing into more than that! In the beginning of 2017, they started seeing each other for a couple of months but ultimately went separate ways for the majority of 2017. After parting ways, Rachel realized how much she really cared for Chayse -- it took Chayse a little bit more time to figure some things out. On December 22, 2017, timing was finally on their side and they became "official" for the first time. The rest is what brought us here :)

Rachel had gotten home from the grocery store on a Friday night, and she was putting up groceries. She noticed Chayse had placed her cat Louis on the counter and thought it was odd but continued to put away groceries. Louis had walked around Rachel a few times and she still didnt notice anything -- Chayse picked Louis up and said "Look at Louis". Rachel turned around and Louis had the ring on his collar!

We're having a private ceremony out of state. Our friends and family will be on our hearts and minds, and we're looking forward to celebrating with everyone at our reception in Atlanta!
