Like so many other millennial couples before us, we met at a Starbucks. Over cold drinks and the course of a few hours of conversation about movies and writing, the realization that the other was special hit us both, and in seemingly no time at all what started as a poorly planned (and inevitably foiled) first date brunch (at the restaurant immediately across from our wedding venue) turned into spending every weekend together, enjoying that first spring and summer exploring the city. Eric quickly fell in love with Chassity's warm smile and fascination with weird comedies, and Chassity in no time was drawn to Eric's dry sense of humor and kind heart.
On a trip to Massachusetts to visit family and enjoy some beach time, Eric convinced Chassity to go see Mount Wachusett. After a small hike on the summit, we stopped for a rest at a slightly secluded couple's view point, and after Chassity stood to take one last look at the view before leaving, she turned back around to find Eric on one knee asking to make the relationship last forever.
