Let's be honest, who meets the love of their life these days without a little help from the internet? Well, that's how it all began for us! After a few swipes left and right (admit it, you did it too!), we stumbled upon each other's profiles and sparked a conversation that turned into two hours of virtual connection. We talked about everything and nothing, from his undying love for basketball (don't worry, I learned all about BB Nation!) to my passion for whipping up culinary masterpieces in the kitchen. By the end of that conversation, we knew we had to meet in person. So, on a dusky evening in March, we ventured to Secreto in Alpharetta. Let's just say the magic continued offline. The conversation flowed effortlessly, the hours melted away, and for a while, it felt like the entire restaurant had vanished – it was just us, lost in our own world. That first date was the beginning of an incredible journey together. We've been inseparable ever since, sharing countless laughs, adventures, and delicious meals (courtesy of yours truly, of course!). And now, here we are, ready to embark on the most exciting adventure yet: forever.

Remember 2020? The year the world hit pause? Well, for us, it was the year our love story took a thrilling turn, amidst the chaos and stir-craziness of lockdown. The Fourth of July weekend offered a much-needed escape. We packed our bags (and our masks!) and headed south to Tampa to introduce Chasity to Eric's amazing family. The weekend was a whirlwind of barbecues, fireworks, and laughter. We soaked in the Florida sun and even managed to squeeze in a socially-distanced pool party (complete with pool noodles for extra safety!). Exhausted but happy, we returned home, ready to unpack and unwind. Coming home felt...well, a little anticlimactic after all the excitement. Little did Chasity know, Eric had a different plan in store. As they sorted through their suitcases, Eric reached for something hidden beneath his clothes. Suddenly, down on one knee, he was gazing up at Chasity with a ring in his hand. The look on her face, a mixture of surprise and pure joy, said it all. In the quiet comfort of their own home, amidst the unpacked souvenirs of a celebratory weekend, Eric popped the question. In a year defined by distance and isolation, our love story found a way to bloom. Surrounded by the lingering echoes of family and fireworks, Eric asked Chasity to be his wife. And, of course, she said YES! So, here's to finding love in the most unexpected places, to celebrating with family (even from a distance) - a testament to the fact that even in the most unexpected times, love can blossom, families can bond, and proposals can happen even when the world is on lockdown.
