It all started in high school debate class—where two teenagers, full of opinions, first crossed paths. The night they now consider their anniversary, October 16th, 2017, after hosting a debate tournament, Chase drove Pascasie aimlessly around the city, and they talked about everything under the sun until the sun actually came up. They took eachother to their childhood homes. Talked about their favorite movies—The Boondock Saints and Fight Club—and argued good-naturedly about who reigned supreme in the rap world: Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole. They introduced each other to their favorite music—The Beatles for Pascasie and Kid Cudi for Chase. And, in a moment that would become iconic for them, Pascasie rapped an entire song without even a stutter. Ask her, and she’ll tell you that’s the moment Chase fell in love. What started with Pascasie showing Chase his way around good argument quickly became two inseparable teenagers. They say you never forget your first love, and for Chase and Pascasie, that couldn’t be more true. Their journey together has seen it all: living with family, three years of long-distance, getting a dog, surviving a pandemic, moving in together, moving again, adding another dog to the family, going back to school, and stepping into adulthood (which, let’s be honest, they still haven’t fully figured out). Through it all, their bond has only grown stronger. And now, as they stand on the cusp of the happiest day of their lives, they’re beyond excited to start this next chapter with all of you by their side.
