Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us or contributing their talents to our day.

Patrick Lekatz

Bride's Best Man

Hi, I'm Pat, Leslie's brother. We've been close since I learned how to play Schmier (a partner, trick-taking card game) on a family vacation when I was 12. It took years, but we now can beat our parents! I live in Fargo, ND and work as an electrical engineer. I specialize in control systems and automation, and I travel around the area to start up water plants, grain facilities, and food and beverage manufacturing plants. This year work sent me to San Diego, where I went surfing (mostly drowning) and Montana, where I skied during downtime. Living in Fargo makes spontaneous meet ups with Leslie and Chase possible. We've enjoyed baseball and hockey games and self-guided brewery tours (...bar hopping). I'm thrilled to be a part of the wedding, and very happy that Chase is joining the team!

Deanna Stingle

Bridesmaid

Deanna, here! I am Leslie’s 1st cousin. We basically grew up as sisters, as we lived at each others houses playing barbies. It was our jam. We also spent many a days at our grandparents playing restaurant and making up games like “Slimer”. It was also a place where Leslie wrote and directed some of her finest plays....”Annie & Aunt Hilda.” We eventually grew up and moved to different places where we both met our soul mates. I married my husband, Pete, and I now have two awesome stepsons Brue- 16 & Daxton- 14. Silas is our youngest son at 2yrs. Yep. All boys. I am beyond blessed to have Les in my life, because without her I’d never have had a glimpse of what having a sister was all about. Love you SO much! You & Chase couldn’t be more perfect for each other!! I love you both. 💕

Aryn Citowicki

Bridesmaid

Aryn and Leslie have known each other since high school, and even lived together in college for a couple of years! Oh the stories we could tell.... Aryn currently lives in Missoula, MT with her husband and two young children. She works from home for an eating disorder program and is the number one fan for the UM Grizzly Women's Soccer Team, of whom her husband is the head coach for. She enjoys hiking and exploring all that Montana has to offer, cooking meals her children refuse to eat, and attempting to stay grounded and find the balance in life - because adulting is hard.

Mary Bohn

Bridesmaid

Mary lives with her cat in St Paul. She is a special education teacher who likes to cook, read, and doing yoga. She met Leslie their freshman year of college where they bonded over a love of bad reality TV (she is still hoping someday for a Rock of Love 4) and hanging out in old man bars. They went on to be roommates and hosted amazing games nights. Mary loves to travel as well as trying out any brewery she comes across in her travels, another thing she shares with the bride! She is super excited for what she believes will be an epic wedding and marriage for Leslie and Chase. And yes she is drinking wine in a can in her pic. No judgement.

Tyler Richardet

Best Man

Hey this is Tyler. Chase and I go way back to the university days when we got into way too much trouble and did far too little school work. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a family reunion one year and the Fennell’s treated me as one of their own. Even though I live in Canada and Chase is in the US, we still chat frequently and get the opportunity to meet up every now and then. One day we came up with an insane idea to travel to SE Asia, we spend 1 month travelling 4 different countries, and I couldn’t had asked for a better friend and travel partner.

Jesse Sorum

Groomsman

Hi, I'm Jesse. Chase and I met in high school. We had entirely too much fun together, most stories of which cannot be shared publicly. Our friendship was solidified when our parents agreed to let us go to a Motley Crue concert unsupervised! Although Chase went away to college in the Great North, our shenanigans picked right back up when he returned. I am so happy to be a pert of his and Leslie's amazing day and return the favor of standing next to him as he did for me!

Jason Schuler

Groomsman

Hi, I’m Jason. Chase and I met while attending Red River High School almost 15 years ago. We’ve been through a lot together and have done a lot of growing up along the way. Some of the things I remember the most would be road tripping in the green monster (Fennell conversion van), ski trips, attending rock concerts, many weekends at the lake, and attending UND hockey games. Various unmentioned shenanigans were had throughout all of this... Anyway, it was clear from early on that we would be lifelong friends. I’m extremely honored to be a part of Chase and Les’ big day and can’t wait to see everyone at the wedding!

Ring Bearer

Hi there! I'm Bob and I live in Fargo where I am happily retired and living with my good old pal, Charlie the dog. I was a Research Specialist for 36 years at NDSU Animal Science Department. I met Leslie in 2006 when she began graduate school. She immediately impressed me with her warm smile and her engaging, friendly personality. We taught the Reproductive Physiology laboratory class. Leslie generously gave her time and abilities to teach what is considered a very challenging course. Leslie and I share a strong interest in the Fargo Moorhead Redhawks baseball team. We also enjoy the music of O.A.R. We both enjoy scary movies and novels each Halloween; I contribute a few good horror stories to her collection. Leslie is a true, life long friend and I am so happy for her and Chase!

Brian Kerntz

Usher

Hi! I'm Brian, Leslie's cousin and brother of Deanna (bridesmaid). Life was good growing up in the small town of Ely. Summers were spent on Grandma and Grandpa's pontoon with entire afternoons and evenings filled with fun, food, laughter and swimming. I think we cousins grew gills! Holidays and birthdays found us gathering together...so many great memories. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, wheeling, and biking. I live and work in Perham, MN. My daughter, Olivia, is 2.5 years old and the joy of my life. Chase and Leslie are a perfect match, and I wish them the very best in their life together!

Steve Ernster

Usher

Steve here. My Mom is her Dad’s little sister. Which, by law makes me her cousin, but by choice her friend. (Ok, ok, I had to come up with something cheesy)! Growing up, my parents, siblings, and I spent countless days in Ely to visit our family. Leslie, Patrick, my brothers, sister, and I grew up riding Banana Seat bicycles and watching our Grandpa chase bears in the yard. It was truly the time of our lives! I now live in Nashville, TN. When I’m not down yonder on a Chattahoochee, I'm working hard and listening to some of the best musicians in the world. From time to time you might even find me singing my heart out, hoping for that big break, but Kenny hasn’t cut my songs yet so I guess I have to keep the 9-5. Congrats Leslie & Chase - thanks for letting me be a part of your day.

Jeff Walsh

Emcee

Chase and Jeff were introduced through mutual friends on a crisp autumn’s eve in Grand Forks, ND during their college years. While initially skeptical of one another due to Jeff’s aggressively fashion-forward haircut and Chase’s over-affection for Nickelback, the two quickly discovered common interests and a bromance was birthed. Their bond is strengthened through their shared love of Board Games, most things Canada (Jeff is not Canadian but has adopted steady use of the word “eh” out of respect), Electronic Music, UND Hockey (Shout out to Colin for the multitude of primo seats over the years) and Whiskey. Jeff grew up in Grand Forks and currently lives in Seattle. He works as a Supply Chain Program Facilitator for Amazon. Yes, ladies, he is single* *May be outdated by the time of print

I’m incredibly honored to be able to participate in this ceremony! I live in Grand Forks, ND with my wife Kirsten (the beauty & brains) and son Jack (the comic relief). I’m still finding my family role. Sadly, I may be the brawn. We met Leslie, and later Chase, via the Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre. We knew that Leslie was “one of us” the very instant we met her! In my spare time, I do A LOT of theater stuff, watch A LOT of MN Wild hockey, roast and drink A LOT of coffee, and build A LOT of creepy Halloween stuff in the garage. Note: I find my accompanying photo hysterical because I look like a grown-up and I’m totally not a grown-up and it makes me laugh.
