Our Wedding Party

Chase Castillo (Smith)

Bride

A Letter To Eric, I never dreamed that I would have found someone who challenges me to see the world in the way that you see it, a man who makes me laugh and love with abandon. I would have never believed that I could have found a man who would remind me every single day to dream bigger, to work harder and to open my heart to the possibilities of such a beautiful life. I never thought or could realize that I could love anyone as much as I love you. I love you not only for who you are, but for who you inspire me to become. I love that over our short time together I have never faced life's challenges without your love - you've been beside me through several crisis at this time and I could never thank you enough for all your support. You have shown me what it means to "Live and Love," to give my heart fully, to wake up every morning with the hope of helping others. ~ You are my soulmate. My other Half. The piece of my heart that I never knew was missing ~ August 19th is the day we will always reminisce about until the days we grow old, turn gray and the wrinkles crowd our faces. With grace and wisdom, I know we will both look back on this day as the beginning of a journey - challenging at times I am sure, but an incredible journey together nonetheless. ~ I promise to never forget this day, our day, the day I become your wife and you my husband. ~ With love, Hugs and many many kisses, and the promise of a lifetime together "Your Future Wife," The "Almost" Mrs. Chase Smith

Eric Smith

Groom

A letter to my Future Wife: One of the best memories that I have from my late father, was the time he told me how he met my mother. He told me, ~ "Son, When I met her - it was fireworks off the bat, and someday I hope you'll find someone that makes me feel the way your mother does. You will know when you will know." ~ Ever since he told me that, I never really understood till that day you walked into the shop I work at. You lit the store up with your voice - you brought my palms to a sweat. It was that moment I knew what my father had told me. It's been such a short time, and a half dozen of crisis - You alone have helped me in so many ways I never thought I would find in another person. I know I can rely on you in tough times. You are the one who has taught me not to panic, "That everything will be figured out." ~ For this one reason, I can not wait till August 19th, the day I get to call you my wife. ~ You have managed to help me realize that there is so much more to what we call "Life." You have helped me become a better person, a more caring person and a more motivated person. ~ For this reason, I can not wait for you to be proud of who you will get to call husband. ~ You are my true friend, my best friend, the only one I know I can lay my head across your lap and look into your eyes and truly understand what my father has taught me. Love, is a word that will never be able to fully express what I truly feel for you. I love you Chase ~Your Future Husband

Jessica Castillo

Mother of the Bride

A Letter to My Mom - By Chase. The be completely honest with you, I don't exactly know how to write this letter at this time. As a family, we haven't always been the best at verbally expressing our feelings. I just know that you love me with the ways you fuss over me in any situation or conflict I find a way into. I would like to believe that you know exactly how much I truly love you with my actions, but in case I haven't been clear: I love you more than you could ever imagine. I will never forget all the opportunities that you have provided me with my upbringing, or all the support you've given me over the years. Don't forget that I haven't forgotten anything you have ever told me, explained to me through out my years growing up beneath your care. All I can ever do is say thank you from the bottom of my heart mom and that I love you with every ounce of my being. As I get married, I want you to understand that I might be growing up faster than you might have expected, but I do feel like I am ready to take this step in my life - with everything you've taught me, everything you've helped me learn about life. I know I am fully capable. Also not to forget: I wouldn't be who I am to this day with out you being my mother. I wouldn't be where I am today with out your words of wisdom over the years. All the cooked meals and all the love and support you've given me. I love you so much! Chase

Richard (Larkin) Coverdale

Officiant

I've (Eric) been hosting a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that I have been writing for several years now. Richard - who I have known for the past 2 years by the name of Larkin - is one of the players within the campaign. He has been a close friend of mine over the past few years via long distance. (computers) He has helped me through the passing of my parents, he has helped me work out social dissonance in my personal life - he has for sure been a huge influence on my personal individual development. He has been a confidant that I have always had the ability to talk to and work through my thoughts - he was one of the many that helped me build the confidence to actually work up the courage to ask Chase to marry me - with out Richard - who knows where I could be or what I could be (probably single with out his motivation and inspiration) Thank you again from the bottom of my heart Richard (Larkin) Friend of my life. I am extremely excited and thankful that you'll travel all the way from across the country to come out and not only spend time with me on my special day with Chase - but also to be the one to conjoin us in holy matrimony - once again I could never thank you enough.

Dillyn Castillo

Maid of Honor

A letter to my Sister: Dilly, my sister. I love you and you know I always will. I know over the years growing up - I might not have been the best sister towards you - but you always managed to look past that. Yeah, we've had our problems between each other but we've always manage to stay together as a family. (For the most part) You've always manage to put aside your own personal feelings about certain subject matters or situations to truly listen to me - to guide me - to help me figure out who I want to be. I can't ever repay you for your all your help during all of my personal crisis. As we've both been growing, and as we had gotten a lot closer to each other during our teenage years - You really have left an impression upon me. You have taught me a lot of things - I remember how I use to have to take you to school - until that one day I told you - "You'd have to pay me or walk." Ever since then - you have helped inspire me on how to be a better person - a more caring, loving person - you reminded me what family is - and I fear if I couldn't have remembered what "family" meant - I truly don't think I would be where I am today, next to Eric. So Dilly, long story short - I love you and I could never repay you for all of your support as a friend, as a sister and as my family. I love you, always and forever. P.S. We need to go get drinks.

Sergio (SIR GIO) Quezada

Best Man

Gio man - we've known each other for a few years now - and its crazy to think on the way we met! Through the smoke shop of course. It's always been hard to make friends - even more so in the past few years! It's crazy to think how similar we are to each other, the ability to just meet someone and accept them for who they are. You've helped me through many situations through out the past years and I could never thank you enough for being there as a friend for many of my Crisis'. Hell, you're the one I came to about the whole 'crazy girl' from the smoke shop - and kept my mind cool about all the things she was doing - and because of that now that same girl is the one with the title of "The Bride" on this page!!! You alone have helped me delve back into some of my longest passions (music production to name the most important one) and you have always known what to bring and do to any event that may ever come across - You Sir are by far the one friend I know I can rely on to come to 'save the day' the most! I know the past few months have been hectic - in all aspects of life and yet you're still here - walking up to the spot most close to me - and for this I could never repay you for the dedication and the never ending amount of time, effort and sweat you've put towards today. (I owe you the biggest solid of all solids in this universe) Thank you Sir Gio. -Eric PS: I have one more thing to add - as the space is running out on this letter. Please.. Don't drop the rings.

Bryanna Wingfield

Maid of Honor

So I met Bryanna through a mutual friend many years ago - we've always been acquaintances at first hanging out amongst our friend groups- until the time we decided to move in together with each other. Since then we have always been building a strong bond between each other - always being there for each other in the early mornings you've helped me come to be the person I am today - I could never thank you enough for all the memories we have shared. You have always helped me with my past personal dilemmas and you've always been my guiding spirit - the spirit to show me the harshness of the world but that the world is yet still breathing for us all - you have always given me the courage and the inspiration to keep pushing forward to tomorrows and my goals. You've always been the most trust worthy friend I have ever had before - you've held on the secrets and I know to this day you'll still choose to die with those secrets - I can not thank you enough for all your help, support and inspiration you bring to me each and every day. I love you Bre.

Alexis Ramirez

Groomsman

Another wonderful person I met through the Smoke Shop. Alexis (Alex) has been a friend from the day I sold him a vape. (Man - to think of this - I'm lucky when it comes to building long term relationships based around vapor.) You were there with me day in and day out during the Pandemic - We've been friends through some of the worse times the world has seen - and yet here we both are - still together as friends. You've taken me to meet your family in California, to your dads memorial. You have done so many things to help me become a better person. You have also looked out for me in more ways than I could ever have imagined - hell you bought me and the household food several times during our rough times and during the times of the pandemic. I could never ask god for a different friend like you - as you are the best person I have ever met in my life. Thank you for all our memories together - and I'll try my best to throw you the garter-belt.

Zeke Stoney

Man of Honor

Dear Stoney, Ive been thinking about what/how to write or what to write, but I think I have a clue. You have always been there for me though my Instacart days all the way down to my wedding day. I don't know what I would be without my captain to this group of lost friends in this world. I always think back to how and why we met, and its kind of crazy to think that we really didn’t even know one another beside having this one friend in common and love for smoking. To now years later standing here next to you on my wedding day. Thank you so much for always being for me when we I just needed a man to talk to. You have definitely provided me with a lot of knowledge to know that the man I chose to spend the rest of my life with is the right choice.

Damon Stoney

Ring Bearer

A letter to Damon from Eric and Chase We both highly appreciate you and all that you have done for us. You have always brought joy to our world - like a little brother we both never had - but always needed. We can never repay you for all the times you have made us laugh when we needed it the most. We both know you are growing into a young adult and have a strong head on your shoulders and we could never be more proud of what you have accomplished and what you are going to achieve during the years yet to come. Just remember we will always be here for you - as you've always been there for us. We both remember the time we came up to Zion last year - and we all had a blast! Especially SP'in in that 4 by 4 the bathroom at Eric's Sisters. We know we can be stressful at this time - so close to our wedding date - but knowing you'll be there by our sides we both feel at ease and have no worries with you around. We Love you Da Kid.

Joshua Ruiz

Groomsman

Josh - what can I tell you about him, well - he's charismatic and one hell of a debater. Hell, he's one of the most caring people I have ever known in my life, always worrying about everyone else but himself - sometimes to much. He came into my life a few years ago, and has been by my side through thick and thin - he's always up to something, always active, always running around and working. What I can always admire about Josh is that he's always improving something about himself, in some shape or form. He has always helped me to motivate myself to achieve the goals that I set before me, to focus on what truly matters.
