Emily and Chase met on a dating app called Hinge, where Emily gets bragging rights for making the first move ("So, how's it been moving to St. Louis?"). Their first date was at a restaurant called Wolf Café, where Chase accidentally ordered a black bean burger and almost feel asleep (because of his job and not the conversation, or so he says :D). One date led to another, and until finally...

Emily and Chase had a date night at Dogwood Social House, an arcade bar that is one of their favorite hangout spots to this day. After Chase cheated at Skee Ball and then made it up by winning Emily a stuffed giraffe (now named Jerry), Chase drove Emily home and asked her to be his girlfriend. She (of course) said yes, and that began their relationship. Many more dates followed, they met each other's families, and they grew closer and closer until...

Chase was walking Emily back to her car after a movie night at his apartment, and they were saying their goodbye's when Chase accidentally let it slip - "Bye, love you!". Emily wasn't sure if he had said it on purpose or by accident, and she didn't want to make it weird by saying it back when he hadn't really meant it! (Even though she did totally love him by this point). So it remained a one-sided statement until Valentine's Day rolled around and she got to set the record straight and say it back. They continued to fall more and more in love with each other until...

Chase is not known for being good at keeping secrets, but somehow he convinced Emily that they were just meeting friends at the St. Louis Art Museum, on top of Art Hill where they had shared their first kiss. Unluckily for Chase, it turned out to be one of the coldest days of the year. Things started getting suspicious when he wanted her to walk up to the museum from the bottom of the hill in the freezing cold instead of parking in one of the perfectly good heated underground parking spots by the museum. But he got her to the spot by the fountains where he dropped to one knee and asked her to be his future wife. She (of course) said yes, crying the whole time, and he put a ring on her finger (with some difficulty, because of all of the shivering). That began the wait for the day when they would be able to celebrate their future together with their loved ones...
