No, there is not cell phone service up at the venue. It is a truly majestic place and takes you to a destination like no other.
We ask that guests wear formal attire. However, remember that we are climbing up into the mountains above Vail, and it is sunny and delightful in the afternoon and gets very chilly in the evening. Make sure you have sunscreen on for the ceremony and plenty of layers for into the night. Also, when choosing your footwear, remember it is a high mountain ranch, and while there won't be hiking, just keep the terrain in mind.
We ask that guests wear cocktail attire. Please no jeans ◡̈
Avoid Altitude Sickness Your body reacts differently at an elevation of 9,350' so please take all the precautions necessary to avoid altitude sickness. This is especially important for those of you coming from out-of-state. Acclimate slowly if you fly into Denver, consider staying a night before heading to Vail. Denver is at an elevation of 5,280' so spending even one night at that elevation can dramatically help your body acclimate as you climb to 9,000'+. If you are traveling directly from the airport to Vail, take it easy your first day. No strenuous hikes and plenty of rest. Your body will need time to adjust to the lack of oxygen. Hydrate continuously. The air is much dryer at high elevations and your body will feel dehydration much quicker. Limit Alcohol: Please enjoy, just take your time as alcohol affects you very differently at altitude. Take it slow and have plenty of water between hard beverages. Respect the Altitude Wear Sunscreen & Chapstick You are closer to the sun and sunburns occur far easier here. It is important to apply early and often as you enjoy the mountains. It is also very dry in Colorado, so be sure to bring lotion. Bring Layers of Clothing The lack of humidity means the sun is our heat source, once it goes down, so does the temperature - so be sure to bring layers to keep yourself comfortable.
We respectfully request that this remain an adult only event.
There are some extremely rustic cabins and tents at the Ranch that can be reserved to stay in overnight. Plan ahead as space is very limited and reservations fill quickly very early in the season.
