What a journey this year has been! God can do amazing things in just over 12 months! Although we had technically met the month before at a young adult retreat, our adventure began (as most of you know) on a backpacking adventure outside of Anchorage, Alaska in July of 2021 with Eagle Eye Ministries. Our coming together really was brought about through spiritual/mental/personal growth and genuine surrender, trusting that God's plan was better than ours. Chase had just visited a monastery to start thinking about if he was called to be a monk...and Anna had just asked God for "a Catholic cowboy." ...mysterious ways, indeed! Less than two months after we started dating, Chase accepted a six-week factory job in Cleveland, OH and we dated briefly long distance. At the end of that time, our dedication and love for each other had only gotten stronger. Months flew by quickly; trips to Wyoming and Montana were had to meet the Ketterling family; and Anna's sister was married. After what seemed like only a short time, we went on another hike in Peoria on August 22 (the Feast of the Queenship of Mary). Chase asked the following question: "What do you like most about adventuring with me?" "I like that we don't need to know where we are headed -- only God does -- but we are together and that's all that matters." "Well, that's good. What do you say to adventuring with me forever?" And he got down on one knee, proposing with a ring custom-made with a Montana sapphire, mined only where his family was/is originally from. We both would like to thank you for being a part of our adventure and we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with you! Most of all, we are excited to continue this grand adventure with every one of you! "The Almighty has done great things for [us] and holy is His Name!" God bless you all and see you at the altar on March 18, 2023! The Future Mr. and Mrs. Ketterling
