Not required, but highly recommended if you’d like to explore the Marche region or nearby Adriatic beaches. Without a car, you’ll rely on taxis, which can be limited in the countryside and should be booked in advance.
The simplest option is to take a taxi from Ancona Airport or Ancona Train Station directly to Le Case (~1 hr). While there is a regional train from Ancona to Macerata, it adds an extra transfer and another 15-20 min taxi ride, so we don’t recommend this option. For your convenience, shuttle service will also be provided with pick-up and drop-off at the two listed hotels (Relais La Colombaia and Villa Quiete) for all three wedding events: the Welcome Party, the Wedding Day, and the Pool Party. A full shuttle schedule will be provided closer to the wedding.
For most guests, especially those traveling from North America, the easiest and most affordable option is to fly into a major hub such as Rome (FCO) or Milan (MXP/LIN). From there, you can continue by train, a short regional flight, or rental car. Other nearby airports in Italy include Perugia (1.5 hrs), Bologna (2.5–3 hrs), Florence (3 hrs), and Rome (3.5–4 hrs). The closest option is Ancona Falconara (AOI), about 1 hour from the venue, but flights there from North America are typically limited and more expensive. You’ll find more details on our Travel page.
Yes! We will have shuttles running to and from Relais La Colombaia and Villa Quiete for all events. Shuttle Schedule: Welcome Party (May 27): Pick-up 4:00 & 4:10 PM. Departs Le Case 10:30 PM. Wedding Day (May 28): Pick-up 4:30 & 4:40 PM. Departs Le Case Midnight & 2:00 AM. Pool Party (May 29): Pick-up Noon & 12:10 PM. Departs Le Case 4:00 PM.
We have reserved room blocks at two local hotels (see Travel page). Shuttle service will run from these hotels for all wedding events. Other options (Airbnbs, agriturismi, etc.) are available nearby, but shuttle service is only provided for the listed hotels.
Welcome Party: Wednesday, May 27 at 7:30pm (pizza & Aperol Spritz) Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Reception: Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 pm Pool Party: Friday, May 29 at 1:30 pm All events will take place at Le Case.
The Aperitivo will be elevated casual: polished but relaxed. Sundresses, linen sets, tailored pants, or collared shirts all work well. Jackets and heels aren’t necessary, just something effortless and chic for a summer night in Italy. The Ceremony will be cocktail attire: sharp suits (ties optional), flowy dresses, and bold prints are encouraged. Dress to impress, feel confident, and when in doubt, go bold. The Pool Party will be casual summer style: Bathing suits encouraged. Towels will be provided. Feel free to bring a change of clothes!
Yes. Italy uses different plugs (Type C, F, and L) and 230V voltage. U.S. travelers will need a plug adapter; most phone and laptop chargers will work fine with just the adapter. We recommend bringing a universal adapter.
Yes, but they are limited compared to big cities. If you are not renting a car, it's best to arrange taxis in advance, especially for early mornings or late evenings. We recommend contacting Gabriele (+39 333 824 1728). He is available for bookings and communicates via WhatsApp.
