Dovetail Brewery
Dovetail is our favorite brewery in Chicago, but it was also our first date spot! They brew incredible beer, and are also situated in a neighborhood with several other breweries and a distillery within walking distance.
Sapori Trattoria
Italian places are easy to find in Chicago, but this one has always been our favorite. They take reservations, and it would be a great Friday night dinner spot!
Spacca Napoli Pizzeria
Spacca is one of the top Neapolitan-style pizza places in the country, but that means nothing when you see the burrata come out. Call about two weeks ahead for reservations.
Pequod's Pizza
If Neapolitan-style pizza isn't your thing, Pequod's is our favorite deep dish pizza with a caramelized crust in Chicago. We recommend sausage and peppers. This is the perfect spot to split a pitcher and pizza with some friends the night before the wedding. Off Color Brewing isn't too far away!
Fat Cat
Although a little further up north, Fat Cat is one of our favorite spots to go for dinner and drinks. They always have a variety of Chicago beers and seasonal cocktails on the menu. On the same block is a historic jazz club called The Green Mill.
Batter & Berries
Three words - French. Toast. Flight. We can all get behind a neighborhood brunch spot, and this is one of the friendliest that we've been to.
NORTH BUENA DELI (LINCOLN)
The one in Uptown is our usual spot, but NBD is our favorite sandwich spot. Everything is made fresh to order, and they have a variety of snacks and drinks for a choose-your-own-adventure meal.
Flub A Dub Chub's
This list wouldn't be complete without a hotdog spot. While the name and its location in the lower level of a bar may raise some eyebrows, this is our favorite Chicago-style hotdog.
