London has so many amazing museums to get lost in, with the majority of them offering free entry. From The Wallace Collection, Natural History Museum, The National Gallery, Victoria & Albert, Sherlock Holmes, The Churchill War Rooms and Charlotte's favourite The British Museum.
One of the best things we have ever done on one of our visits to the city. There is an array of bikes and electric scooters to hire along the streets - enjoy the scenic routes of London at your own pace, from St Pauls Cathedral to Buckingham Palace, the routes are endless!
Why not catch a show in the West End - you can bag last minute tickets at a fraction of the price for same day tickets!
Self explanatory.
You will be spoilt for choice for places to eat in London. You should definitely explore ones around Marylebone village. (There really would be too many to recommend). We can however, recommend from experience - Fischers for breakfast, Carlotta's for the truffle pasta and Wedding Cake dessert - we recommend these places for the atmosphere and decor alone! Le Relais de Venice L'Entrecote - is on our next to try list a French restaurant we have been dying to try always has a queue around the corner! Mercato Mayfair is also a fantastic option for those who all want different options to eat & drink! A Hip Market in an old stained glass sanctuary with food and drink stalls, eateries, a vaulted wine cellar & a rooftop terrace. There really is so many different options for dining - you will be spoilt for choice! We do however strongly recommend avoiding high tourist places like Leicester Square for dining. Don't forget the amazing Food Markets like Borough Market!
Walk around - You never know what you'll come across! It's also much more peaceful than the tube. We highly recommend strolling by The Riverbank with an array of sights from The Tower of London, Millennium Bridge, Shakespeares Globe, Westminster and through St James' Park. (TIP - if you walk over Westminster bridge there is a vintage photographer that will take and print your photo in front of the House of Commons) We would also recommend an evening walk around London- it's so peaceful for such a bustling city.
