Travel and Accommodations

Woodstock is located in central Vermont. If you don’t live on the east coast, the best way to get to Woodstock is to fly into Boston Logan, NYC-area, or Lebanon, NH airports and drive to Woodstock. PLEASE watch out for cops on the last leg of the drive to Woodstock (Route 4) as the speed limit drops from 50 MPH to 45, 40 and then 25 MPH suddenly – and cops love to ticket unsuspecting, out-of-town drivers. August is a very busy time of year in Woodstock, so please plan accordingly in terms of traffic, accommodations, and other reservations. We have room holds at a number of bed and breakfasts until the end of March. Please call to book as they may show as full online.

From New York City

The drive from the New York City area takes about 4 ½ hours (without traffic). While we suggest driving, you can take a flight from Westchester County Airport to Lebanon, NH (see additional information about this option below) or Amtrak (The Vermonter) from Penn Station to Rutland, VT and take a Lyft or Uber about 40 minutes to Woodstock.

From Boston's Logan Airport

The drive takes about 2 hr. 20 minutes with no traffic. There are plenty of rental car options.

From Lebanon's Municipal Airport

The drive takes 15-20 minutes to downtown of Woodstock. There are Cape Air flights from NYC's Westchester Airport and Boston's Logan Airport.
