FAQs

The Wedding Website of Charlie Inman and Sophie Blackburn
How can we make you this happy? By answering all of your questions!
Question

Seattle is very far away from me and I can't make the trip

Answer

We get it! Since most of Charlie's family is in Massachusetts, there will also be a reception there in late July that you are welcome to attend. Please let us know if you'd like the details!

Question

What kind of food will we be having?

Answer

Food will be buffet style from Taste of India, our favorite local Indian restaurant! There will be vegetarian and gluten free options. All cake will be vegetarian and some of it will be gluten free :)

Question

Will drinks be provided?

Answer

There will be a private bar just for our wedding guests in the event space that will have all of Ravenna Brewing's tap list available. There will also be at least one cider, red wine, and white wine option available in addition to non-alcoholic seltzers/sodas. Everyone will get two free drink tickets for the night and of course you may purchase anything you'd like after that. Please tip the bartenders as they will be helping all aspects of the night run smoothly!

Question

What else is there to do in Seattle?

Answer

A lot! Popular things to check out downtown include Pike Place market, the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP). Centennial Park, Olympic Sculpture Park, the ferris wheel, and the aquarium are all along the waterfront close to downtown. Discovery Park and the Arboretum have some great trails close to the city. Golden Gardens is a public beach with great views of the Olympic Mountains. On the waterway running through the city, you can watch ships pass and see the salmon ladders at the Ballard Locks. Gas Works Park is one of the best places to see the Seattle skyline and Lake Union. Kayaks are available to rent at both UW and the Agua Verde Paddle Club. If you want to take a dip in Lake Washington, both Magnuson Park and Seward park have easy-to-access beaches. Boeing's Museum of Flight in South Seattle is another great place to check out, but be aware that you can easily spend a whole day there and it isn't easy to get to via public transit.
