Right near our home base for our weekend! Enjoy some cuddle time with the cats at The Whole Cat and Kaboodle, beers + mini golf at Flastick Pub, or afternoon tea at Fogrose Atelier. Make sure to walk along Marina Park for some amazing views or to take a boat out on the water. And if you so desire, visit the local Costco so you can say you've been to THE Kirkland!
The Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), Chihuly Garden and Glass... there's no shortage of places to explore and things to see! Just blocks away from the first apartment we lived in together before Key Arena became Climate Pledge Arena and home of the Seattle Kraken!
With renovations finished in summer of 2024, the Seattle Waterfront is home to great views (including from the ferris wheel), great food (Piroshky Piroshky is a favorite), and fun sights (become a true Seattle tourist and watch the famous fish market throwers)!
Charlie's first home and Rebecca's second in the Puget Sound area, you pretty much can't go wrong finding great food in this neighborhood. Visit Quinn's Pub for dinner (where, unbeknownst to Rebecca at the time, we had our first date) and finish with Charlie's favorite chocolate lava cakes at Hot Cakes! Or stay out even later for karaoke at Rock Box and end the night with a Seattle Dog.
A great destination for food, craft beef, and shopping, including a year-round farmer's market on Sundays. Enjoy some board games at Mox Boarding House while grabbing a bite to eat, or just go straight for dessert at the original Hot Cakes location in Seattle for yet another delicious chocolate lava cake. To walk things off, you can follow the Burke-Gilman trail North to Golden Gardens (2.2mi) or South to Fremont and Gas Works Park (3mi) for some additional sights.
