FAQs

The Wedding Website of Charlie Tate and Ioannis Bandunas
Hooray — you made it to the fun part! This is where we answer all the burning questions you might have about our big day (and maybe a few you didn’t know you had). We’ve kept things friendly, but these are our official wedding guidelines — think of them as the “house rules” for our happily ever after. We promise they’re here to make the day amazing for everyone. We kindly ask that everyone follows these requests so the day stays joyful and stress-free. If anyone is unable to respect them, the venue team may politely ask them to vacate. Thanks for understanding, and for helping us make our wedding unforgettable — for all the right reasons! We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

This seems pretty self explanatory; this is a formal event so we expect you to follow a smart dress code, that means no jeans please! Also to avoid clashing with the bride and bridesmaids please avoid white and Olive Green. Thank you! Once photos have been completed you are more than welcome to remove ties and jackets, we know it will likely be a hot day, air conditioning will be located inside the venue.

Question

Can I bring my child?

Answer

Unless previously arranged with us both, no children will be invited on the day.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As I am sure you are all aware weddings are very expensive and we are prioritising friends and family, so unless they have been explicitly invited then we are afraid the answer will be a no. This includes pet friendly plus ones as the venue has strict rules on this as well.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) so ensure you have plenty of sun cream and sunglasses so you can see us tie the knot! The meal will be inside afterwards as we don't fancy getting attacked by flies while we eat. The rest of the event will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities.

Question

Can I take pictures with my phone?

Answer

The answer is yes you can, however we have an official photographer & videographer so please avoid taking pictures of the actual ceremony, pictures at any other time are welcome! The one thing we ask is that these pictures do not appear on social media before we have a chance to post our own.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes there is plenty of parking at the venue, of course this is a celebration and we will be serving alcohol so if you would prefer a taxi then please see the list below for local taxi services in Braintree: pre-booking is recommended! If you are going to drive you are welcome to leave your car at the venue overnight, however it will need to be collected by 10am the next day as the venue will likely be preparing for another event. Question

Will there be accommodation?

Answer

There is some accommodation available at the venue, there are rooms located in the granary priced at £135 for the night and breakfast the next morning, each room sleeps 2. As well as some rooms in the Lodge priced at £145 for the night and breakfast the next morning, please be aware that if booking any rooms in the lodge there are two rooms that share a bathroom, each room sleeps 2 people so this would be ideal for a family or group of 4. If you would like to stay the night at the Venue and have breakfast with us the next day please let us know and we can give you the details to book a room. However if you do not want to stay at the venue then there are other hotels nearby and can be found on various sites like booking.com or TripAdvisor. Question

Do I have to bring a gift?

Answer

The best gift we could ask for is your presence on our special day. However, if you wish to give something, a contribution to our honeymoon would help us create memories that will last a lifetime. No obligations of course. If you do end up bringing a gift or cash on the day there will be areas to store these.
