Welcome to the tiny town of Marion Station, Maryland! Marion Station, also known as Marion, is an unincorporated community in Somerset County, Maryland. It is located at the northern intersection of Maryland routes 413 and 667. After the arrival of the Pennsylvania Railroad arm known as the "Eastern Shore Railroad" toward Crisfield in 1866, Marion was locally hailed as the "strawberry capital of the world". After the trains stopped coming it went into decline, with some sources even hailing it as a ghost town. Today, the town relies heavily on the fishing industry. The wedding venue, Kingsbay Mansion, is a gated, Georgian waterfront estate located on the peninsula of Coulbourn Creek at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay just north of Crisfield, Maryland. It is the largest private home in Somerset County and was designed by Ian McCallum, the architect for Colonial Williamsburg. It was built in 1970 in the middle of 500 acres of prime Maryland farmland. Below you'll find lodging options!

This location was completely remodeled from inside out this year and it sits right on the Chesapeake Bay. We went to take a look at it and were impressed by the clean rooms, accommodating staff, water view and swimming pool. This option is super affordable and you can walk right into town and have lunch on the marina. It's also very close to the venue. You can't beat it!
