Charles was introduced to Sophia while she was a podiatry student rotating with Dr. Richard Rand III. In the words of Dr. Rand, "Dude, you have to meet my medical student. She's the cutest little asian and I know she'll be perfect for you!" From a simple lunch session during podiatry clinic, to now being engaged and waiting for their marriage day, Charles and Sophia have found their soulmate in one another. According to Sophia, she's also found her "sole-mate."

True love is when you learn to live out of a suitcase. CJ loved Sophia so much that he traveled with her on medical externship rotations. We lived out of our suitcases for 9 months and survived the rest of medical school together. During the October rotation, we went hiking up Golden Gate Park where he proposed and a group of high schools kids were the surprise paparazzi/photographers!
