THE STORY OF US In February 2023, Jen and her family made a big move from Florida to Wisconsin, just two months after her beloved grandmother passed away. Though hesitant at first, the encouragement from her cousin during the funeral planted a seed—and soon enough, Jen, along with her parents, brother, and three dogs, found themselves starting a new chapter in Milwaukee. Adjusting to life in a new state at 32 wasn’t easy, but luckily, she had family nearby—including cousins Jake and Becky, who quickly pulled her into their friend group’s weekly trivia nights at Pop’s Pub in Muskego. That’s where she met Chuck—Jake’s best friend since preschool. As trivia nights and group outings continued, including a Green Bay VS Tampa Bay football game (Jen suggestion wink wink), holiday parties, and an unofficial double date to Soriee Wine Bar (where they stayed and talked for over two hours) it became clear to everyone (and especially Becky!) that something was starting to spark between Jen and Chuck. At a Super Bowl party, even some lady friends in the group were asking him when he was going to make a move. That moment finally came after a trivia night that just so happened to fall on Valentine’s Day 2024. The next day, Chuck asked Jen out to dinner—and she said yes! Their first date at El Beso on February 16th, made one thing clear: this was something special. As they grew closer, they discovered that their lives had crossed paths many times before—attending many of the same weddings, sitting just one table apart. It seemed the universe had been quietly weaving their story all along. TALK ABOUT PUTTING THE CARRIAGE BEFORE THE HORSE. Four months into their relationship, life surprised them again—Jen found out she was pregnant. They spent the next nine months preparing for their greatest adventure yet, under the watchful (and often judgmental) eye of Luna, their dramatic, queenly cat and adding a mischievous golden retriever puppy named Atlas to the mix. Then, on February 17, 2025, they welcomed their daughter, Amelia Charlie, into the world—just one day after celebrating their first anniversary. THE YES DAY On August 16th, 2025, after a much-needed parents’ night out in Chicago to see The Fray at the Chicago Theatre , Chuck got down on one knee in their hotel room after the show. Jen turned around to see him with a ring and Chuck asked her to marry him. And the answer she gave is why we are on this website today—celebrating love, timing, and the beautiful, unexpected way life brings two people together.
