Flight
The Charleston Airport is likely the point of entry for your visit. It is located roughly 20 min from downtown and 40 min from Folly Beach. It is a smaller airport and easily manageable. Car ride services and taxi's are readily available but public transit (trains/busses) is not.
Travel Note
Charleston is limited on hotel options and even the hotel blocks below are relatively expensive (even though we tried to pick some based on various budgets). With that in mind, there is no limit on amazing vacation rentals on sites like AirBnB and VRBO. There are condos to beautiful houses located throughout the city. If you want to stay downtown (or go wild and stay on Folly Beach), but don't want to break the bank, Carly and Charlie both recommend renting your own spot. If you choose to rent out of the city of Charleston proper, keep in mind that traffic can be quite slow getting onto and off the bridges that connect other areas to Downtown Charleston.
Hotel
This venue is very conveniently located to both the Charleston International Airport as well as the Wedding Venue. It is a little farther removed from the heart of downtown, but is an excellent hub for exploring the area!

This hotel is on the pricier side but is located in the heart of the downtown Historic District. This is walking distance to the entire city. If you want to be in the heart of it all, this is the place!
