By the time we see you in Charleston, yes. Colorado is the wild west and we have technically been common law married for years already. We had a small ceremony with immediate family and a few friends in Spain before coming to Charleston. We did this for two reasons; first we have family and friends located across the world who could not make it to the United States and it was important for us to have them by our side for this part of our celebration. Secondly, Carly and Charlie are both a little extra, especially in their love of travel, so why not do the ceremony in Spain and celebrate with all of you in Charleston!
You are all our family, chosen or by genes, and we are having a family style dinner! So, pass the potatoes and get to know your tablemates. If you have any allergens or specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP and do our best to accommodate you.
Charleston is a small place and Holy City is located 15ish minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the Hilton Garden Inn (one of the hotel blocks). There is limited parking on site, so please don't do that to yourself. Take a cab/uber/lyft. It’s easy, it's on your time and most of all, it's cheap!
We actively tried to stay away from this question on our “Things to Do” page. Not because we don't have our favorites, believe us we do, but because one of our favorite things is walking through downtown and trying every new place we can find. We recommend you do the same. We have never had a bad time at a restaurant in Charleston and you can go full vegan/vegetarian, try raw seafood, take in a steakhouse, eat bao buns, or go full low country cooking in the city and it is all delicious. At the end of the weekend, share with us your favorite places so we can add them to our list.
