🚗 Getting Around Columbus We’re so glad you’re joining us in Columbus, Georgia for our celebration. Here’s everything you need to know to make your travel smooth and stress-free. Columbus is a walkable downtown with most hotels, restaurants, and attractions concentrated along Broadway and the Riverwalk. For the wedding weekend, you may want a car or rideshare for the reception, which is hosted at a private residence. Uber and Lyft both operate in Columbus.

A great choice if you want something with a little more character and a scenic location. Columbus Marriott Downtown Built around a restored 19th-century grist mill, this national landmark property sits in the heart of downtown with easy access to Broadway and the Riverwalk. A full-service hotel with on-site dining and a concierge lounge. Note: Room availability at all hotels is limited over Labor Day weekend. We recommend booking as early as possible.

✈️ Getting to Columbus Flying In The closest major airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), approximately 90 miles northeast of Columbus. Columbus also has a small regional airport (CSG), though most guests will find better flight options through Atlanta. Driving from Atlanta Columbus is roughly a 1.5-2 hour drive from Atlanta via I-185 South — an easy, straightforward route. Groome Transportation Shuttle Prefer to skip the rental car? Groome Transportation runs daily round trips between ATL and downtown Columbus, seven days a week, with departures approximately every hour. It’s a comfortable, affordable option — advance reservations are recommended, and you can book online at groometransportation.com. Note that pickup stops in Columbus include the Hampton Inn Downtown and the AC Hotel on Broadway. Renting a Car Several national car rental agencies are available at ATL. Having a car gives you flexibility for the weekend and makes getting to the reception venue easy.
