The Finger Lakes Region

The Finger Lakes Region

The Inns of Aurora overlooks Cayuga Lake and sits on its east side. There are 11 finger lakes total. They get their namesake from their long, spindly appearance when seen on a map. These narrow lakes range in size but were all formed a couple million years ago as glaciers slowly made their way through already existing small streams. Click the link below to learn more!

The Nature Trail

The Nature Trail

This is right in Aurora, NY so this could be a fun activity to see the area before the ceremony begins if you are staying in town!

Heart and Hands Wine Company

Heart and Hands Wine Company

This is one of many wineries that can be found on Cayuga Lake and is recommended by the Inns of Aurora.

Town of Aurora

Town of Aurora

Here is the town's website if you're interested in exploring around your hotel or AirBnb.

Taughannock Falls State Park

Taughannock Falls State Park

This waterfall can be found on the west side of Cayuga Lake (on the opposite side of the lake from the venue). There is a 1 mile, mostly flat, trailhead that leads to the Taughannock Falls. Ally and Charlie have taken many walks along this trail when they are in town to visit her parents. This is a 50min drive from Aurora, NY.

Watkins Glen State Park

Watkins Glen State Park

A moderate trail (with a good amount of stairs) with an incredible look at the region's topography and gorges. This is a 1hr 10min drive from Aurora, NY. While it is a little bit out of the way, it is absolutely incredible and we highly recommend it!
