What is the attire?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be 'semi-formal garden party'. Feel free to be colorful and have some fun with it! Tea-/mid length dresses, bright suits, and fun ties are great, but just your presence and energy are most important! If you wear heels, block-heels are recommended as the ceremony will take place on grass. For the welcome party (7/31), think 'smart casual' or 'cocktail attire'. Don't sweat this too much -- wear what you are comfortable in for a fun night out!

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn. Please see the travel tab to book your room.

Question

Will transportation be provided from the hotel to the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! Shuttle services will run from the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn to the Inns of Aurora and back. If you are staying at a different hotel in Auburn, you can still take the shuttle if you meet it at the Hilton. There will be multiple options for the return journey, including shuttles that will leave both at the end of the reception and following the after-party.

Can I book a room at the Inns of Aurora?

Answer

A set of rooms at the Inns have been reserved in advance for the wedding party and families, but there is no additional hotel block open to all guests. However, if you would like to stay at the Inns you are more than welcome to! It would be based on their availability, and typically requires a two-night minimum. We would love to have you on-site if you decide you'd like to try to stay at the Inns.

What other accommodation options are available?

Answer

Aurora Mainstays (listed in the travel tab) is a local AirBnB-type service that provides options in the town of Aurora, closer to the wedding venue. There may also be other interesting rental options in the area, available on AirBnB and those sorts of websites. In addition, there are other hotels in Auburn, such as the Holliday Inn, that you can individually book. Just make sure you catch the shuttle or have an alternate plan to get to and from Auburn and the venue!

What is the deal with the welcome party?

Answer

The Finn family is happy to invite all wedding guests for drinks and dinner on Friday, 7/31 at the Prison City North Street Farm & Brewery in Auburn (note: there is a Prison City Pub right in Auburn, but the party is at their North Street location). The brewery is a five minute drive or thirty minute walk from the Hilton. We hope you are able to join us!

Can I bring a plus one?

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, the wedding day will be adult only. HOWEVER, we would love to have your little ones join us Friday night at the welcome party! If you plan on bringing your little ones to the welcome party, please just make a note for us when you RSVP so that we know to expect the whole family.
