A beautiful place to explore if you have some free time! Just be mindful of our late summer heat.
We like to geek out here. Ask Charles about his favorite exhibit. Pro-tip: There's AC!
Embrace your bougie side and check out some of the coolest art in Dallas. Speaking of cool, also, there's AC.
Great weekend spot for fresh food! Check out the air-conditioned permanent restaurants and shops inside, or walk through the rotating booths outside!
One of Nia's favorite neighborhoods. If you're into rooftop bars, check out HG Sply Co. and HIDE. Chill, girly, wine and cocktail bar? Leela's. Want some live music, food trucks, and uh...country vibes? Check out Truck Yard! Don't forget to grab some gelato at Botolino. The list goes on.
I'll be straight with you, this is best as a daytime activity. But don't fear, there's an awesome neighborhood here! Grab some dessert at Emporium Pies, Picole, or Insomnia Cookies, then walk around and check out some of the amazing murals. If you get hungry, swing by Terry Black's for some of the best barbecue in the city. Grab a black margarita if you're feeling spicy. Bonus points: Ask us about our first "date" in Deep Ellum at a place that no longer exists.
Consistently rated one of (if not THE) top zoos in the US! If you don’t mind the drive out west, certainly makes for a fun day!
A nice park directly in the middle of downtown Dallas! In any given summer weekend, enjoy eats from one of the various food trucks and a nightly water fountain display!
Memorialized in downtown Dallas, this is more of a side quest to a day downtown. Historically relevant though! And if you're reeeeeeally into this stuff, the Sixth Floor Museum is the next place for you.
One of our favorite date spots! Pay a flat rate of $12 and play unlimited arcade games with no additional fees. This is worth it. It's a blast.
This is like if mini-golf and a bar had a baby. But that baby is the cooler, weirder, younger cousin of Topgolf. Ask Charles about their first date at Topgolf by the way. (And then, ask Nia how she felt about Charles bringing his own golf clubs.)
Not EXTREMELY interesting outside of state fair season, but it’s a year round excellent example of Art Deco architecture (and it’s free to enter when not in state fair season)!
One of the best malls in DFW! It’s farther out (about 30 minutes from downtown Dallas), but you’d find a bustling/thriving mall with a nice mix of luxury and everyday stores!
Accessible, yet one of the most bougie malls in Dallas! You can find a wide variety of stores: from Louis Vuitton and Gucci, to Lids and Journey’s! Buy a Tesla, or check out the free, rotating art installations and grab a pretzel. Up to you boo.
