Charity’s first job was at the Great Canadian Dollar Store in Peace River. In 2018 the store was moving to a larger location and outside workers were brought in to help set up the new store. Seth was one of these people. After many stolen glances and “I hope they are watching me”, Seth reached out to Charity on instagram and this lead to the lives we know now of Charity and Seth. Seth had been carrying the ring tucked into his wallet for many many months before the big night. He had a different plan than what he decided to do and kept waiting for “the right moment” but Christmas Eve (technically Christmas Day according to the time) he decided he didn’t want to wait anymore. He quickly slipped out of the room with his wallet and warmed up a Sherry Hilton cinnamon bun and hid the ring inside. If anyone knows Charity you know it takes her awhile to finish her food, like painfully slow sometimes. So after what felt like 20 minutes the VERY LAST BITE she took she was surprised with a ring. After many…many tears Seth finally asked the question. FUN FACT: The first person to find out was actually Charity’s dad, Dean Tubbs, partially because he’s an important person to her but also because he was the only one who answered her “are you awake?” message. Christmas Day the news was broke to Seth’s family in Ontario where they were spending Christmas, and the rest of Charity’s family and friends.
