Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Charity Havens and Matt Andrighetti
Welcome to Colorado! While we don’t have any formal events planned before or after the wedding, we truly hope you’ll take the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful area during your stay in Monument, Palmer Lake, or Colorado Springs. From great hiking and scenic views to delicious local restaurants, there’s plenty to explore and make a mini getaway out of your trip.
Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods

Colorado Springs, CO 80904

If you have extra time, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is absolutely worth a visit. It’s a free city park with stunning red rock formations and both paved and unpaved paths. The main Central Garden area is mostly flat and very walkable, with incredible scenery and photo opportunities.

Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead

Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead

Old Carriage Road, Palmer Lake, CO 80133

If you’re looking for a nearby hike, we love the Palmer Lake Reservoir Trail. It starts right in Palmer Lake and climbs gently up to beautiful reservoirs with classic foothill views. You can turn around at the first reservoir for a shorter outing or keep going if you want more of a workout.

Spruce Mountain Open Space Trail

Spruce Mountain Open Space Trail

13415 South Spruce Mountain Road, Larkspur, CO 80118

Just a short drive from Palmer Lake, Spruce Mountain is one of our go-to spots. The trail is wide and well-maintained, with gradual elevation and amazing views over the Front Range and open grasslands. It’s a great choice for anyone who wants a rewarding hike without it being too intense.

Local spots in Palmer Lake & Monument

If you want to stay close to the wedding, Palmer Lake and nearby Monument have some cozy cafes, pubs, and restaurants that are perfect after a walk around the lake or a hike. We recommend exploring the main streets, grabbing a coffee or drink, and enjoying the small-town mountain vibe.

Colorado Springs restaurants

For those staying in Colorado Springs, you’ll have tons of options for brunch, dinner, and drinks. It’s easy to make a half-day out of it by pairing a great meal with some sightseeing (like Garden of the Gods or downtown). If you’re a foodie, you’ll have plenty to choose from.

Palmer Lake Recreation Area & Santa Fe Trail

Right in town, the lake is a lovely spot for a relaxed walk, a bench break, or just taking in the mountain views. The New Santa Fe Regional Trail runs through the area and offers a flat, easy path for strolling or biking with big views and no serious climbing.
