Things To Do

If you happen to get to Cookeville early and want to just find some places for food or to shop, check out a few of my favorite local places.

Ralph's Donut Shop

59 South Cedar Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501

Oh who doesn’t think of Ralph’s when they think of Cookeville. I love to get the Butter twist (name alone is perfect) and heat it up in the microwave for just 12 seconds. Evan loves their blueberry donuts. A perfect day at Ralph’s is meeting up with some great friends, enjoying a butter twist and a sausage biscuit, and a getting to see Kennady Campbell if she’s working that morning.

Soul Craft Coffee- Downtown

43 West Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

This coffee shop has the best seasonal drinks! I come here often when visiting Cookeville for the weekend. (Fun Fact: This is Kate’s favorite coffee shop.) Or even go to the on campus Soul Craft for a cute environment with tiled tables and opened garage doors. Perhaps you might even spot Tomi Sims ;).

Poet's Coffee

230 East Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

Love me some Poet’s. Fun place to grab some coffee and even some tables and chairs in the way back. (Fun fact: This is Olivia’s favorite coffee spot but if you want a Cuban, she’ll suggest Soul Craft lol)

Glass Tangerine

44 West Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

A lovely shop all year round. Just looking at the plants and flowers makes it worth a stop!

Lazy Cow Creamery

500 South Walnut Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501

Although it’ll be a bit chilly outside, who doesn’t love some ice cream. My favorite is “Silly Old Bear” and Evan likes to get “Mint Chocolate Chunk” or “Cookie Monster.”

Plenty Downtown Bookshop

48 West Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

A lovely bookshop that will get you adding too many books to your Goodreads. I love popping in just to se new releases and the smell of new books. Definitely worth checking out.

Cumberland Mountain Outdoor Sports - West Side

46 West Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

This place always reminds me of Landon Kurtz and the outdoors. Lots of fun camping gear and very cute National Park shirts.

Cookeville Pizza & Pub

707 Mahler Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501

Newest pizza place in Cookeville. Evan and I can’t get enough of it. We’ve tried (together/individually)”The Most Excellent Supreme”, “Pretty Fly for a White Pie” and “The Music City Miracle.”

Poppie's Boutique

101 West Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501

Favorite place to window shop and try on some cute clothes. I’ve personally never bought anything from there but maybe one day I will.

For all the days along the way
