Travel Note
Our venue is a campground in Brighton, which means that you will need to drive up the canyon to get there at one point or another. Each recommended hotel has an estimate on how long it will take to get there We WILL be in Big Cottonwood Canyon along SR 190/Big cottonwood rd We WILL NOT be in little cottonwood canyon or cottonwood canyon. Yes, it is confusing. No, I don't know who decided to give 3 canyons variations on the same name.
Flight
SLC international is the closest airport to where we will be at. It's a pretty big airport so expect some walking. SLC is very car dependent so you will likely want a rental car or use ride shares. Ride shares will go directly to The Spruces (the campground/venue).
Hotel
If you are looking to be as close as possible while still getting the rustic mountain vibe this may be the option for you. This is also excellent if you don't want to drive the canyon at night. It's just a 5 minute drive to the campsite! Word of warning, they don't have air conditioning. This probably wont be a problem because it will likely be cool to cold outside. There are a few more hotels further up the canyon if this isn't a fit for you. They're about a 10 minute drive from the campsite. You'll be in prime hiking territory. Check out our things to do for more information
Hotel
An excellent option if being in the canyon is a bit much but you still want to be close. It's a 20 minute drive up the canyon to our campsite and a 20 minute drive to downtown SLC. Note that ride shares will go up the canyons if you would rather not drive.
Hotel
Here's an option if you want to explore SLC, although there are plenty of good hotels in the area. Downtown SLC is about a 30 minute drive to The Spruces. There is plenty to do and explore here, so check Things To Do for more information
House Or Rental
If you would like a place to yourself, there are plenty of airbnb's in the area. The ones near our campsite are pricy, so you may find better deals at the mouth of Big Cottonwood canyon. I'd suggest avoiding anything along I-80 and anything in little cottonwood canyon because It'll be quite a drive to go around the mountain
House Or Rental
If you are feeling adventurous you are welcome to stay at the campground or one of the campgrounds in the area. Just be aware, they may require you to book for the entire holiday weekend (fri - mon), and it might be a bit difficult to get ready for the event (Although we are leaning casual or dressy casual, so not that hard) You'll be in prime hiking territory. Check our things to do page for details. We will be using group sites 1, 7, 8, and 9 if you want to be nearby.
