Bride
Abigail is first and foremost, ecstatic to be marrying Joshua. When not dreaming about married life, Abigail is a teacher at Abundant Life Christian School and going to school for her master's degree at UW Madison. In what little spare time she has left, Abigail loves to read, sing, play worship songs on the piano, and bike.
Groom
Joshua is thrilled to be ending his bachelor career by marrying his most beloved Abigail. He currently works as a software developer at American Family Insurance. Joshua and Abigail first met at City Church Young Adults Group, where Joshua enjoys leading a small group. In his free time, Joshua enjoys long walks in the woods, biking, listening to audio books, and playing video games.
Maid of Honor
Kelsey and Abigail have been friends since middle school. They spent many sleepovers watching movies, talking about boys, and planning for grown-up life. Now in grown-up life, they still like watching movies, talking about boys and planning for the future, though the future looks a little different than they originally thought it would. Kelsey loves cats, everything pink, and Abigail!
Best Man
Ryan is the closest thing to a brother that Joshua ever had. While actually cousin's, Ryan and Joshua were thick as thieves growing up. They shared countless influential moments with each other, and even after a few years of busy lives interfering, Joshua couldn't imagine anyone else standing by his side on this momentous day.
Maid of Honor
Alisha and Abigail are sisters who, growing up, had plenty of conflicts; most of which came from Abigail being the annoying older sister. Alisha is standing up as a maid of honor because of the support and love shown through alliances and tickle fights. All silliness aside, Alisha will be following in her sisters footsteps in becoming a teacher while attending UW-Whitewater.
Groomsman
Aaron is one of Josh's cousins and has always grown up thinking of him as a third brother. He is currently serving on active duty in the United States Air Force at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida.
Bridesmaid
Amber is the youngest, and cutest of the Chapin clan. She is loved by all her siblings and has been bestowed many nicknames including lizardbreath, burger, and (Abigail's personal favorite) little butt. Even though Amber chose to align herself with Joshua in tickle fights, Abigail still loves and appreciates her. Amber has recently graduated middle school and will be going into ninth grade in the fall.
Groomsman
Ashlen is the brother of the bride and one of her closest allies in the tickle fight alliance. Because of his brute strength, Ashlen has defeated Joshua on many occasions with only minor injuries. Despite the injuries, Ashlen was asked to be a groomsman in order to deter him from his desired position of maid of honor. He is currently living in Arizona and working as the Program Director at Pure Heart Church.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is one of Abigail and Joshua's friends. Sarah and Abigail have known each other since elementary school, and have had many adventures including jumping on beds, eating too many sweets, and sleepwalking onto balconies. Joshua and Sarah met through TEC (Teens Encounter Christ), and have been steady supportive friends since. Sarah currently works at Campus for Kids in the newborn room.
Groomsman
Jonathan is originally from Austin, Texas and is the oldest of 4. When he’s not doing research on the electric grid for his graduate studies at UW-Madison, Jonathan is either playing board games with friends or out hiking. In 2016, Jonathan and his wife Catherine moved to Madison, where they met Josh at the City Church young adults group later that fall. Although it’s only been around 4 years, Josh and Jonathan became close friends, and have enjoyed discussing life and faith. As a fun fact, Jonathan and Catherine also hosted a summer book discussion group in 2019, where Josh and Abbie first got to know each other better.
Flower Girl
Ruby and Rosa are Joshua's mischievous cousins. They have developed a close connection with Abigail through imaginative play and have completely forgotten who Joshua is. They are the life of the party and they exclaimed that they "had a lot of fun with Abbie and the boy in the red shirt (Joshua)."
Ring Bearer
Hunter is the cousin of the bride, who is also the groom's companion in stealing socks. Hunter is in fourth grade and enjoys playing baseball and fishing. He will be helping during the ceremony as the ring bearer and walking Ruby and Rosa down the aisle.
