FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by February 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount :)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this is a mostly 21+ event unless stated specifically on your invite.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are tight on the guest list, so please check your invite for your +1!

Question

Is San Miguel de Allende safe?

Answer

We would not be getting married here if we did not find it safe. Although some parts of Mexico are known to be dangerous, SMA is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico. It's been named "Best Small City" in the world for a reason. We have always felt welcome and safe, even walking around at night. As with any travel destination, exercise common sense, and you should be fine.

Question

What is the time zone in SMA?

Answer

San Miguel de Allende is in the central time zone. It is one hour ahead of California and one hour behind New York in May. (Daylight Saving Time is no longer in use. Clocks do not change in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The previous DST change in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico was on October 30, 2022.)

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in San Miguel de Allende in May for a typical day ranges from a high of 87°F (30°C) to a low of 56°F (13°C).

Question

What should I wear to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We are encouraging guests to wear earth tones and linens! Here is a link for inspo: https://pin.it/27H1YVN

Question

What shoes are appropriate?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Casa Adela which is on uneven terrain - if you plan on wearing heels, you may want to opt for wedges or block heels, rather than stilettos or high heels. But don't let us dim your light - the choice is up to you! In addition, SMA is made on charming cobblestone paths that can be a tad slippery - this is no place to wear heels or shoes that are not comfortable to walk up and down steep streets in. Please pack sturdy shoes for a comfy stroll in town - Your safety is our priority.
