Book yourself an outdoor massage at Esalen and get a day pass. Esalen Institute is a stunning piece of property hanging off the cliffs of Big Sur where people come to change themselves and society. Chantal has taken courses here. If you've seen Mad Men, this is where Don Draper found enlightenment! Offered in limited numbers to visitors who are not already on campus for a workshop or overnight experience, the pass gives you access to the Esalen grounds including the hot springs from 8:45 am – 4:30 pm. Passes are available Monday – Friday only. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by emailing massage@esalen.org. For best availability, we recommend booking at least three to four weeks in advance.
