It Began With a Swipe

Like all great love stories, it began with a swipe. Well a few swipes actually, but eventually two swipes to the right began a conversation, that led to a date, that led to a kiss, that led to "I love you", that led to a beautiful life filled with so many memories. While we met on Bumble, we firmly believe that we were meant to meet eventually. You see our lives have crossed paths numerous times. From Baron's sister eating at Nonna's Italian Bistro long before Baron met Chandler, and Chandler being the server who was the first person to learn about Baron's niece Emery. To Baron living down the street from Chandlers Great Grandma, and next to the apartment complex her mother and step dad lived in, and down the street from the house her mother and dad lived in, and the list goes on and on. These two have been a pair of star crossed lovers who were destined to meet from the beginning. There are countless stories that show the red string of fate connecting these two together, but the most important was swiping right on Bumble that led to a date at TopGolf. There wasn't much golfing during that date as we couldn't stop talking for hours. On our next date we went bowling and went to a bar called Swingers (it was a golf bar I swear) where the conversation kept flowing. It was clear from that very first date that this was a connection unlike anything we had experienced before. Now here we are four years later still madly in love living in an apartment, soon to be house after the wedding, with two wonderful puppies, creating an absolutely wonderful life together. The best is yet to come, but together we know we can acheive anything.

Why the Hard Rock Punta Cana

It was the Summer of '19. We were young, in love, and wanted to take a vacation together to get away from all the stresses of the world. The hotel was basically Las Vegas but on the beach. There was a Casino, Rock n' Roll, all inclusive food and drinks, and the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen. Over the next six days we would swim with a Dolphin named Nasty, Snorkle, spend countless hours at the beach and pool, and more importantly create some of the best memories of our relationship that we still look back on to this day. While we were in the Dominican we actually walked by a wedding reception one evening that was happening on the beach. The music was bumping, there were fire dancers, and we looked at each other and almost in unison said that this destination would be perfect for a wedding. Fast forward three years later and after the engagement was official there was no question that the Hard Rock was where we wanted to share in the union of our love together with our closest family and friends. We had one of the most amazing experiences of our relationship when we traveled to this hotel back in 2019 and we hope that you all will get to experience the next most amazing experience of our relationship, and create your own lasting memories at this hotel!

She Said Yes! (I Think)

It was probably the most nervous I had ever been in my life. After Chandler graduated from Nursing school I had planned a romantic getaway to Vail/Aspen to celebrate her graduation. Little did she know that I had a surprise up my sleve. It began with a snowmobile tour up to the Maroon Bells, one of the most photographed and beautiful locations in Colorado. I thought I would be sneaky and hide the ring box in my upper jacket pocket. Little did I know that where she was sitting on the snowmobile that she would be holding my chest right where the ring box was hidden in my jacket. We proceeded to ride up the mountain and I could feel her touching the box all the way up. Later on I learned that she had her suspicions about the box, but thought to herself "he couldn't be this dumb". Little did she know I could be. Anyways, we made it up to the Maroon Bells and had our tour guide take our picture in front of the monument. As the guide was bringing back our phone I asked if she could take one more picture. When she stepped back I took a deep breathe and got down on one knee. From there I pretty much blacked out from anxiety, but what I do remember is Chandler saying "oh god" and I told her "Chandler Gradisar, you are the best thing that has happened in my life and I can't imagine my life without you. Would you make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife". And she said yes! I think. I actually don't remember, but what I do remember is Chandler telling me that I'm supposed to put the ring on her finger. Eventually I did and we turned around to see our snowmobile group staring at us in shock asking "did you guys just get engaged?" to which we responded yes. They congratulated us and we rode back down the mountain smiling ear to ear with excitement. The proposal couldn't have gone any better and it is one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had.
