The Irish are the friendliest people. Please do not order 'Irish Car Bombs' as this is considered very rude and equivalent to ordering a drink named after our darkest days. If you would like to cheers we highly recommend "Slainté."
We highly recommend to stay hydrated and indulge in the Irish comfort food. Be wary to wear shoes that provide good traction as the streets are often wet. Additionally, the tap water is safe to drink.
For Ireland the associated plug type is G, which is the plug that has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Ireland operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. There additionally is two round sockets in the bathroom called a 'shaver' socket. There is a high chance that US hair tools will not work in Ireland.
Ireland uses Irish Standard Time (IST) which is +6 hours from Central United States Time.
The currency in Ireland is the Euro (€). Most venues, including hotels, restaurants, and shops, accept all major credit and debit cards. However, it's also advisable to carry some cash, as smaller establishments or vendors may prefer cash payments (one being the Milk Market in Limerick). You can exchange money at banks, exchange offices, or ATMs, which are widely available throughout the country. Please note: if you travel to Northern Ireland they use the Pound Sterling (£).
