Maid of Honor
I’ve known Iedisha since I was 6, but calling her just a friend doesn’t quite capture it—she’s my sister in every way that matters. Over the years we’ve joked about who has the brain cell that day or traded off who gets to be the ‘older sister,’ but no matter the role, she has always been my anchor, my confidante, and my constant. From singing along to I Want It That Way as we drove through the French countryside on our week-long European road trip to holding my hand through the hardest moments, she’s been by my side through every season of life. What makes Iedisha so special is the way she balances strength and laughter—she’s the person I turn to for advice, for comfort, and for joy, often all in the same conversation. She has a way of showing up in both the little moments and the big ones, and she’s always been a reminder of the kind of love and loyalty I hope to give in return. I truly cannot imagine taking this step without her standing beside me, and I feel so lucky to call her my Maid of Honour.
Bridesmaid
Wafaa and I first met as lab partners in Bio II, and what began as a simple classroom pairing quickly grew into one of the most meaningful friendships of my life. I knew from the very beginning that’s she was someone truly special - she brought so much warmth, wit, and energy into my world. From bonding over fried rice after brutal organic chem exams, loudly yelling about Formula 1 races (which I proudly got her hooked on) or rapping along to The Moment of Truth, we’ve built a friendship filled with laughter, sass, and countless tea runs. She has an incredible way of being both my hype woman and my biggest bully when we play Uno during hospital stays—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Through the chaos of being STEM majors, late nights, and long labs, Wafaa has always been a source of warmth, encouragement, and humor. She is one of the kindest and funniest souls I’ve ever known, and I feel so lucky to call her my friend. I can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with her standing by my side.
Bridesmaid
Ours is the definition of a generational friendship—her uncle and my dad are best friends, and it turns out we were destined to follow suit. Though we technically met in 2021 on a Midwest road trip (and again properly last summer), our bond was built long before through years of texts, FaceTimes, and endless laughter. From getting lost in downtown Atlanta to comparing the flatness of our feet on video calls (yes, really), Dunya’s humor and refreshingly original take on life never fail to brighten my day. What I love most about Dunya is how she makes every conversation feel like coming home, no matter how many miles apart we are. She’s the kind of friend who turns ordinary moments into the funniest memories, and who always knows how to make me smile. I feel so lucky to have her standing with me as I step into this next chapter.
Bridesmaid
Nicole and I first met at her wedding, but it was during a cozy fall pumpkin patch trip that our friendship really took root. She, her husband Wesley, and my soon-to-be husband go way back to their high school running days—but Nicole and I quickly found our own connection. Some of my favorite memories include showing up at her house with baked goods in hand (with her as my very willing taste tester), swapping weird and wonderful baby facts, and sharing sweet girl days with her adorable daughter, Jordan. Nicole is the embodiment of elegance and kindness, but what makes her so special to me is the way she welcomes others with warmth and laughter. She has such a genuine heart and has become not just a dear friend, but someone I truly look up to. I’m so grateful that she will be by my side on this special day.
Ring Bearer
Oneli is my sister, but in many ways, she’s more like my little child—and I’ve had the joy (and challenge!) of watching her grow up right by my side. We’ve shared so many moments—laughs, eye rolls, and everything in between—that have shaped our unique bond. One of our favorite things to do is sing along to old pop music in the car (she definitely has great taste in music thanks to me). Sure, we can drive each other up the wall sometimes, but that’s just part of the love we share. Life without Oneli simply wouldn’t be the same, and I can’t imagine saying “I do” without her there, carrying such an important part of our ceremony. She means the world to me, and having her as our ring bearer makes this day even more special.
Flower Girl
Jordan may be little, but she’s already stealing hearts left and right. As the adorable baby of Nicole and Wesley, she’s been showered with love from all of us—and we can’t wait to see her light up the aisle as our flower girl. She’s the happiest and most tenacious baby I’ve ever met, full of curiosity and sweetness, and sure to bring extra joy and magic to our special day.
