Things To Do

Things to do if you're looking for some fun outside of the wedding. Most of these will be day trips anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours drive one way.

Boston Day Trip

Boston, MA

From Museums to the Aquarium to the Freedom Trail and the USS Constitution, to shopping at Faneuil Hall, Newbury street and more; there is a lot to do in Boston. For the most efficient and money saving experience, fly in and stay overnight! Parking is expensive and hard to find. To get around the city either take an Uber or taxi, walk, or use the city bikes: the T is also an option but difficult to navigate if you're not sure where you need to go or what the best stop is. Don't forget Brewery's in the area: Sam Adams Harpoon Trillium Brewing Company Mighty Squirrel Boston Beer Company Turtle Swamp to name a few

White Mountain National Forest

NH 03846

Most famous mountain in New Hampshire. There are many, many other hiking trails and mountains in the area including: North Pack Monadnock, Temple Mountain, Mount Watatic, Mount Lafayette, The Flume Gorge, to name a few. Look online for trail head locations and times as not all amenities or mountains are accessible after a certain time in the year.

Vermont Country Store Grist Mill

424B Rockingham Road, Town of Rockingham, VT 05101

Bride and Bride's Mother's favorite day trip for New England clothing and vintage items no longer available at department stores. The store offers a wide variety of delicious food items, penny candy and wonderful cheese, to clothing, old fashioned soaps and knickknacks. Travel time, one way, is about 1.5 hours. Gorgeous drive to see Vermont countryside.

Portsmouth Day Trip

Portsmouth, NH 03801

New Hampshire Seacoast town. Lots of good food and shopping. Historical sites including a WWII Bunker. Parks and hiking trails. Dress warm, can get windy and cold!

Candlepin Bowling

340 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03063

This is not the bowling you're used to unless you live in New England or Canada. Smaller pins, smaller balls, slightly different rules. Fun for EVERYONE. The place listed has bumpers for those that need it.
