It was late spring of 2014 myself and some former coworkers were going to celebrate a birthday. The night was like any other Saturday night what with hanging out and getting ready before heading out. Once we arrived at Whiskey Saigon it was a moment of catching up with my former coworkers and the hostess. Some how later in the evening I was pushed into Julian, we danced for a little but never really talk nor did we exchange numbers. Now we all know as ladies we tend to use the bathroom in groups it was then we decided to leave the venue because we heard some other friends of ours were out at Bijou and that’s where the night ended. It wasn’t until the following afternoon that I found out that a friend of mine decided to play matchmaker. So it all happened on a Tuesday afternoon myself and my matchmaking friend went to Jake n’ Joe to meet with Julian and a small group of his friends. I wouldn’t say it was the best way of getting to know someone what with us not really interacting with each other and having a small group of his friends babysitting. Once Julian and one of his friend went out to have a smoke break I then realized how shy he was but I also got to know him through his remaining friends. Once he returned we talked a little more followed by exchange numbers. From then on we texted everyday multiple times of day. We had many obstacles in the beginning but that only brought us closer
It all started when we had planned our trip to disney in January. Unknown to Chadia I had put in motion having her ring custom made. I knew exactly what I wanted to get her but there was just one issue. I had no idea how I was going to surprise her. Time passes and still nothing. It's now about one month before our trip and I'm slowly going into panic mode. Then it hits me. I go online to see what disney will do to help with the special moment. Come to find out they have entire packages dedicated to proposals. Finally I find the one that's perfect. Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table right by the window so we can watch the fireworks. Because they were gonna book it as a normal reservation on our app I had to come up with a good cover for how I got us a table at one of Disney's most popular restaurants that did not have any availability when we looked before. I told her my friend who used to work at the park was able to call some former co-workers and had them pull strings for us. The cover worked and she wasn't the wiser.
After weeks of having the ring hidden in the house it was time for the trip and packing it somewhere safe where she also wouldn't find it. We enjoy the parks all week and our last day finally comes. This was the tricky part. I had to hide the ring in my backpack for the entire day. Every time we got to a different park they had to search our bags and I was worried that they would find it and ruin the whole thing. Luckily I hid it in a spot that they didn't check surprisingly. We finally get to Magic Kingdom and hit a few of the rides before we had to make our way to Dinner. After we are seated I had to move the ring from the hiding spot to somewhere I could easily reach it. We both enjoy our meals and take photos with the characters that were there. She was having a blast. As we are eating our entrees the fireworks begin. We watch them in amazement as this was a spectacular view from inside the castle. It all ends and we finish our meal. The waiter now comes over and presents a covered plate in front of her and says "the chief has prepared a special dessert for you". She stares at the plate puzzled and said "but I didnt order dessert yet". Unknown to her not to far behind the waiter was a photographer to catch the moment. The waiter lifts the cover to reveal a glass Cinderella slipper on a bed of roses. Now even more confused she stares at the plate. I begin to speak to her and pull the ring out and ask the question. It took her a moment to realize what was actually happening but once it hit her she happily said yes. The entire restaurant realizing what was happening begins to applaud. The photographer comes in closer to take a few more photos before asking us to pose for more. He then asks for the ring to put on a rose petal and into the slipper to take a photo. As she tries to take the ring off for him she realizes its stuck. We then leave the restaurant and decide to take one last photo in front of the castle to remember that special night
