What is the best way to get around Charleston?

Answer

You will want to get an Uber or Lyft to transport you from the Charleston International Airport to your hotel. Downtown Charleston is an easy city to get around on foot or a quick Uber/Lyft ride. Uber/Lift rides are also suggested if you want to explore other areas such as Sullivan's Island and Foley Beach. If booking a tour, some include transportation from your hotel or ordering an Uber/Lyft is another easy option to your location.

Are there any events prior to the wedding?

We will be hosting a Welcome Party at Lewis BBQ located at 464 N Nassau St, Charleston from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday. All are invited. Come with an appetite as this is the best BBQ in Charleston! We suggest hitting the bars on King Street after.

Where are the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the William Aiken House located at 456 King Street in downtown Charleston. The ceremony will begin at 5 PM sharp. Property gates will be open at 4:30 PM. Please arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of time.

What is the dress code?

This event is formal and, by all means, add some southern flair (pastels, florals, etc.)

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are looking forward to an intimate event where we can share this moment with our closest family and friends. We are asking that only guests listed on the invite attend. Thank you for understanding.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that photos are not taken during the ceremony. We want to be present as possible in the moment (and hope you will be too). Shoot away at the reception and bombard us with your photos!

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We do not have a registry. This is a no gift affair. Your presence in Charleston, or your well wishes sent, are the best gift of all!
