FLR is the most convenient airport for transport to Borgo Casa al Vento where our wedding will be. However, it will be more challenging to get direct flights to Florence and it will be a little pricier. Borgo Casa al Vento will arrange transport from FLR to their property.

FCO will be one of the most common destinations for direct flights from Boston and probably one of the cheaper airports to fly into. From here you'll have to make your way to Florence (Firenze) where Borgo Casa al Vento will have transport arranged, from train station or the airport (FLR). Rome is a very large city and the airport is not downtown so you need to take a train from the airport to the city center. Recommended modes of travel would be Leonardo Express train from Rome Airport to Roma Termini (main train station in Rome). Leonardo Express leaves every 15 minutes and costs 14 euro. The ride is 35 minutes. Once you get to the Roma Termini, you'll take the train from there to Florence on the Frecciarossa line. This leg is aprox 1.5 hrs and costs 45 euro one-way per person. Each train ticket can be purchased on the trenitalia app, in english and simply scan the cvq code at the station from your smart phone. We recommend buying the tickets in advance but you can buy there.
