What else is there to say? It's one of the seven wonders of the natural world, so if you haven't seen it this may be the time! South Rim of the canyon is located about a 1.5 hours north of Flagstaff.

You've heard of Sedona and the red rocks, but the best way to see it is by a Pink Jeep Tour. Only about an hour south of Flagstaff and 2 hours north of Phoenix.
Slide Rock State Park is a state park of Arizona, USA, taking its name from a natural water slide formed by the slippery bed of Oak Creek. The park is located in Oak Creek Canyon 7 miles north of Sedona.
A 0.9 mi (1.4 km) long loop trail descends 185 ft (56 m) into the canyon passing 25 cliff dwelling rooms constructed by the Sinagua, a pre-Columbian cultural group that lived in Walnut Canyon from about 1100 to 1250 CE. Other contemporary habitations of the Sinagua people are preserved in the nearby Tuzigoot and Montezuma Castle national monuments.
Montezuma Castle National Monument protects a set of well-preserved dwellings built into the side of a cliff located in Camp Verde, Arizona which were used by the Sinagua people. It's about halfway between Phoenix and Flagstaff right off of Interstate 17, so is a great place to stop on your way up to or down from Flagstaff.
Visitors will drive through more than three miles of Ponderosa Pine Forest viewing North American animals in natural habitats when they visit.
