Esther and Isaac first met at Loma Linda University where mutual friends and various social gatherings introduced them to one another. The chemistry was instant--Isaac was always looking forward to hanging out with Esther, and Esther always had a great time with Isaac. Since that first year, Isaac was interested in Esther, but she never knew. Fast forward to second year when Iris, Isaac's good friend, started rooming with Esther. Isaac came over to their house a lot that year, and conversation led to more meet-ups, which led to a deeper friendship. Towards the end of second year, both Isaac and Esther were studying for their respective board exams, so they spent almost every day studying together. As Esther spent more time with Isaac, she realized that she never wanted to stop hanging out with him, which is when she realized that she had developed feelings for him. He had been having feelings for Esther too, and when they realized the feeling was mutual they started dating. After 1.5 years of dating, Isaac decided to ask Esther to marry him, using the "Up" theme. Iris had once commented that Esther and Isaac resembled the "Up" couple because Isaac is more quiet and a homebody, while Esther is energetic and pulling Isaac to go on adventures with her. They are looking forward to February 18, 2018 where they will celebrate with friends and family on continuing life's adventure together.
