Johan's Pastry Shop
Johan's Pastry shop is where we get out Birthday Donuts each year. Since he was little, Chase has enjoyed a Donut Cake on his birthday and there is no better tradition than waking up to fresh Johan's to celebrate. There is also a location in Harbor Springs. A Northern Michigan Staple!
Bayside Restaurant
If you are looking for a diner, do we have the place for you! Bayside is our go-to spot for breakfast - especially to cure a hangover. Be sure to try to the eggs benedict or the homemade biscuits. It is a small restaurant and first come first serve, so go early to avoid the wait!
Sam’s Graces Cafe
Another great option for breakfast, located in downtown Petoskey. Start with the eggs benedict or pancakes to fuel you for shopping all day.
The Back Lot Beer Garden
A casual spot with great drinks and food trucks. The backlot has a ton to offer and was one of our favorite spots during the "Covid Summer" since we could be outside. It is first come, first serve and can get busy on a beautiful evening. Reel Deal Fish and Chips has great chicken tenders.
Chandler's
Chandler's is one of our favorites spot's in Petoskey - whether it is brunch or dinner, everything they have is delicious. We recommend trying to get seated in the wine room. And if you are looking for some smaller bites or a great sandwich, try the spot just upstairs Symons General Store & Wine Cellar.
Walloon Lake Inn
The Walloon Lake Inn offers delicious meals with a beautiful view of the lake. It is one of our favorite restaurants because the food is excellent and we can take the boat down and enjoy the sunset before our reservation. We highly recommend the Burrata Salad and the John Cross Whitefish.
Tom's Mom's Cookies
If you know, you know. Tom's Mom's Cookies is a Northern Michigan institution. Located in a cute pink store front, visiting Tom's Mom's cookies is a must do. Grab a cookie (or 12!) and then explore the rest of the great shopping in downtown Harbor Springs. Look for the white picket fence and mailbox.
Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge
You've seen them in almost every vacation town you have been to, but now is your chance to go to the original! Opened in 1947, Kilwins offers a variety of ice cream and fudge for your sweet tooth.
Bay Harbor Golf Club
A beautiful course, located on Little Traverse Bay, Bay Harbor Golf Club offers some of the best views you can get while golfing. There are three 9-hole courses that can be combined into unique 18-hole courses to create lasting memories. Book a tee time online.
Belvedere Golf Club
Belvedere is a semi-private course located in Charlevoix, MI originally designed by William Watson. It was built in 1927 and while it might not be the longest course, the challenge lies in the short game around the dynamic green complexes, which features subtle undulations, ridges and slopes that fall off to chipping area. Offering local Michigan produce, CoveYou offers scenic views and local Michigan treasures. A great place to check out.
Gypsy Distillery
Gypsy Distillery is a local spirit company with a location near Bay Harbor and Walloon. In an old equestrian center, the tasting room offers craft cocktails, two food stands, and indoor games. A great spot to enjoy a drink!
Beards Brewery
My parent's favorite brewery in downtown Petoskey overlooking Lake Michigan.
Burnt Marshmallow Brewstillery & Rudbeckia Winery
Near Walloon, Burnt Marshmallow offers craft beer and wine with outdoor seating and covered igloos if it is a bit chillier. One fun thing to look out for - there are pigs on the farm that are fun to spot.
Brandy's Harbortown
Located in Bay Harbor close to our Welcome Party, Brady’s offers a variety of food stations with a beautiful view of the harbor and great drinks. There is often live music playing as well! It only opened last summer and has been a great spot.
Vintage Chophouse & Wine Bar
Located at the Inn at Bay Harbor, Vintage is a great choice for dinner with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.
NOMAD.
One of the finest dining options in Bay Harbor, NOMAD offers amazing steaks - Chase says it’s one of his favorites other than Hannah’s of course.
