Our Story

It all started with a right swipe on Hinge.

Cameron had just begun his intern year of anesthesiology residency at UAB but had been back in Birmingham since starting medical school. On night shift and short on free time, he decided to download Hinge and ease his way back into dating whenever his schedule allowed. Meanwhile, Carolyn Grace was preparing to start her new nursing job—also at UAB. She had been on dating apps on and off for years, but nothing had ever quite clicked…until August of 2022. Cameron and Carolyn Grace matched on August 2nd, and thanks to Carolyn Grace’s understanding of night-shift life, first date plans quickly followed. On August 25th, Cameron took her to Red Cat Coffee in Railroad Park, where they talked for hours about life, dreams, and everything in between—so long, in fact, that the café closed around them. They both left that first date smitten and certain they wanted to see each other again. Not long after, Cameron asked Carolyn Grace to dinner at Ovenbird in Pepper Place. What they didn’t know then was that this would be the first of many meaningful meals and memories shared together. Cameron officially asked Carolyn Grace to be his girlfriend on September 18th, 2022—exactly four years before their rehearsal dinner. After years of growing together, making memories, and learning one another deeply, they knew it was time for the next step. Cameron popped the question on May 26th, 2025, during a picnic in Railroad Park—just across the street from where it all began at Red Cat Coffee. The celebration continued with a surprise party surrounded by family and friends, making it a day they’ll never forget. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife—for Cameron to officially call CG’s father “Dr. Mark” (iykyk), and for CG to become a Lee. Truly, everything is beautiful in its time. We are endlessly grateful for the way the Lord wove our stories together and for how He has used each of you in our lives. What a gift it is to find your person—your best friend, your home. Thank you for loving us, supporting us, and celebrating with us. To God be all the glory!
