Buffalo Wild Wings
We know that the first thing the Huth family is going to look for is the nearest B-Dubs. Well, look no further! We have done our research and this is the closest one to the hotel that we reserved our block of rooms at. We have not been to this particular B-Dubs but Shelley's go to order is a snack-sized order of boneless honey BBQ wings and a side of fries. Ricky's go to order is a small-sized order of boneless spicy garlic wings with ranch and celery.
Class Axe Throwing
If you ever wanted to feel like a lumberjack and hurl hatchets through the air, go here! They take the time to teach you how to properly throw an axe and then you play axe games with your friends! If you are a natural lumberjack like Ricky then you can become a Lumber Lord and walk away with a *temporary* tattoo that says "LUMBERLORD".
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
The Zoo is perfect for the whole family. See all kinds of animals from snapping turtles to monkeys. Check out the African Savana exhibit to see some awesome giraffes! One of the firsts dates that Ricky & Shelley went on in Cleveland was to this zoo and it was a blast!
Fat Heads Brewery
Fat Head’s is an iconic Cleveland brewery with tons of food options and all types of beer! There are 2 other Fat Heads locations; North Olmsted and Canton, but this one is the location that Shelley & Ricky frequent the most. Although, the North Olmsted location is about the same distance from the Hotel that Shelley & Ricky have reserved a block of rooms at. Shelley’s go to order: The Boogaloo Belgian-Style Blond Ale and the Hawaiian pizza. Ricky’s go to order: The Bumble Berry Honey Blond Ale and the Mighty Fine Bovine Sandwich.
Great Lakes Brewing Company
If you love good beer, food, and want to visit an iconic Cleveland Brewery, go here! Try their famous Burning River Pale Ale to commemorate the time Lake Erie caught on fire. Also, they have a really fun trivia night every Tuesday from 8pm to 10pm, which was one of the first double dates that Shelley & Ricky went on with Jessica & Eric Sokol!
Great Lakes Science Center
This is the perfect place to take your whole family. The exhibits are all fun and interactive for all ages. Ricky & Shelley have never been together but if you ask any one who has gone they say it’s a blast for the whole family.
Lizardville Beer Store and Whiskey Bar
If you love Whiskey then you will love this bar! They have the largest selection of whiskey that Ricky has ever seen. Lizardville is the perfect place to either grab a 6 pack to take home or hang out with great friends while sipping on a large selection of whiskey. There are several locations: Bedford, Lakewood, and Akron. But this location is the one that Ricky has been to and fell in love with!
Mastro's The 3 Spot
If it’s a Saturday night you will find Shelley & Ricky here with Eric Sokol (Groomsmen) and Jessica Sokol (Bridesmaid) enjoying wings, “3 Spot Fries”, and beer. “3 Spot” is 3 miles from Shelley & Ricky’s apartment and the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat and enjoy time with your friends! Shelley’s go to meal: 5 spicy garlic boneless wing, fries & a Blue Moon beer to drink. Ricky’s go to meal: 5 lemon pepper rub and 5 spicy garlic boneless wings with ranch on the side & a Fat Head’s Bumbleberry beer to drink.
Melt Bar and Grilled
There are several other Melt Bar & Grilled locations around the area; Akron, Avon, Canton, Cleveland Heights, and Lakewood. Shelley & Ricky frequent this location and the Lakewood location. This was one of the first places that they went together on a date and have been back 100's of times since! If you LOVE grilled cheese and want to see some of the wildest foods stuffed inside melty cheese and thick toast, then this is your place! They suggest going hungry and order the half sandwich option, trust us, it will be plenty of food! Ricky & Shelley's go-to meal: The Kindergartener with pepper jack & American cheese, ham, and bacon with fries.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
There is an enormous amount of Rock & Roll memorabilia on display here ranging from Michael Jackson's iconic glove to Elvis Presley's gold sequined suit. Ricky and Shelley enjoyed their trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and highly recommend checking it out while in the area!
SOHO Chicken + Whiskey
If you are looking for delicious chicken and a wide selection of whiskey and bourbon, this is your place! Shelley & Ricky went here on a date and loved it! They have delicious cocktails and amazing chicken. They have a little bit of a limited menu so make sure you love chicken. AND BE HUNGRY! They serve massive chicken breast and legs and you can get them in several flavor combinations. When Shelley & Ricky went they ordered the Bird on a Bun and both took home a whole piece of chicken and fries!
ThornCreek Winery
If you can’t wait to check out the AWESOME venue that the wedding is at, ThornCreek has a few events happening the week before our wedding! They have a happy hour that you can bring your dog to called “Yappy Hour” Wednesday, August 7th from 5PM to 8PM! Or go check out the venue Wednesday- Sunday (check their Facebook or website for the hours). They have amazing food and of course delicious wine. Ricky & Shelley’s favorite wines are the Lakeside Blush red, Aurora Cream Red & the Aurora Cream White wine!
West Side Market
The West Side Market is the perfect place to go for fresh fruit, veggies and meat! There are also bakeries, Mexican food and donut shops all located together! Ricky & Shelley always get a crepe from Crepes De Luxe and coffee from City Roast Coffee whenever they go.
