With 16 years of friendship and many more to come, Veronica (Roni) and Cerina share so many fond memories! When Cerina first moved to Fayetteville, it was Roni who took her in and helped her get acclimated. In 2013 Roni moved to San Antonio TX, but their bond remain tight! Cerina took multiple trips to visit her in Texas, and after the birth of her only son in 2015, Carter, Cerina gained Auntie Reno status! Roni, thank you for being there for me throughout the years, and standing with me on the best day of my life - you're my sister, my friend and now my bridesmaid! I LOVE YOU!

In 2016, I started working for WCCG 104.5fm as a Radio Personality! Going by 'Rina J', this was my first on-air radio program, titled 'Your Community'. My first day on the job, I met the Promotions Manager, this beautiful soft spoken young lady. Little did I know we would develop a friendship, that turned into a sisterhood. One of the most selfless people I know, I've watched her maneuver through life's challenges with grace and sophistication. She's a mother of two, Nazir (16) and Nadia (14), foster parent and CEO of the 'Pretty Stickie' brand. Fun fact: She was there when I met Allen for the first time! Nafisah, I'm so grateful to have you in my life, and most importantly part of this special day. I couldn't do this without you! I LOVE YOU BOO! SHAMELESS PLUG! Pretty Stickie is where deliciousness meets creativity and where traditional favorites take on a modern twist. Our gourmet apples and customized cookies are perfect for a social event, individual treat, party favor, or gift. Book Pretty Stickie TODAY! www.prettystickie.com

Growing up as a 'military brat' meant my Mother and I would constantly be on the move. When my Mom received what would be her final assignment, it was to Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Moving in the middle of my eighth grade year would prove to be tough, but luckily I began to make friends, and one of them is Oquisha Nicole Lane. Nikki and I ultimately bonded during our stint in marching band our freshmen year at Mount Vernon High School. Band camp wouldn't have been the same without her! I say band camp, but it felt like boot camp, and I think she'd agree with me! The early mornings, the constant yelling, and the arm circles! Nonetheless, we stuck it out together, and though we would only do marching band freshmen year, we continued in band throughout high school, as we constantly battled for 1st chair. After high school, we would remain friends and develop a deeper bond. When I moved to Atlanta in 2017, it was Nikki and her mother Rosemary who would open up their home to me. I'm forever and always appreciative and grateful. Oquisha, we've been through so much together in this 25 year friendship, and I can't wait for the next 25 years! I love you so much, the number 12 to my 21.

I remember the first time I ever met Comecya. I was helping Allen at a polling site at Rockfish Community Center in Raeford. Though she's Allen's little sister, that day she was there protecting her brother, like she was the big sister! What stuck out in my mind about that day was simple...you protect family at all cost. Comecya, the mother of four beautiful children, Lindsey (17), Stephen (11), Leanna (9) and Linda (8), welcomed me with open arms. Growing up as an only child, this was unchartered territory for me. I remember the first time children called me 'Auntie Cerina', I was overcome with emotion. Comecya, thank you for accepting me into the family. I love you so much and appreciate the love you've given me over the years. You are so beautiful, smart and an INCREDIBLE mother! I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together as sisters.
Mother of the Bride
My rock, my biggest fan, my friend, my prayer warrior...my Mother. Anyone who comes into contact with her can feel her genuine energy, loving spirit and nurturing disposition. Growing up it was the two of us. We traveled the world together thanks to her enlistment in the United States Army. We lived in Arizona, Georgia, Germany, Alabama to name a few, not to mentioned visiting numerous states and countries. I was 13 years old when we reached her last duty station at Fort Belvoir Virginia, which made move number 7 for me. Though it was a difficult adjustment, my Mother did everything in her power to help my transition. Her encouragement and unwavering support assisted in me settling into a new environment. She retired after 20 years of service in 2002, making Virginia home. The Mother of the Bride is BEYOND excited to be gaining a wonderful immediate family in Allen, Anderson, Comecya, Lindsey, Stephen, Leanna, Linda and even more extended family! Mother, there is so much I want to say! Throughout the years I’ve witnessed your inspiring acts of kindness. It’s amazing how selflessness can have such a profound impact on those around you. Caring for family, especially during difficult times takes compassion, while still maintaining enough strength to comfort those around you. Thank you for your sacrifice, understanding, and for your grace. God took His sweet time making you the beautiful vessel you are, and loved me so much, that He gave me you as my Mother.
