The Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony will take place at the historical Duke Chapel!
Why Duke Chapel?
When Allen proposed to Cerina, she immediately knew having the ceremony on Duke campus would mean so much to Allen, ever the diehard Blue Devil fan.
One day in February, Allen vaguely told Cerina they had an appointment at 10am. She didn't know where, but went with it. Allen dressed in his best suit, meanwhile Cerina was wearing a turtle, jeans and her favorite Doc Marten boots. Once in the car, she realized how dressed up he was, and begged to let her change into something that matched his swag. He gave her 5 MINUTES!
Little did she know the day before, he coordinated with Duke Chapel to tour the space in advance, and well...here we are!
Fun Fact: The beautifully designed edifice was created by Julian Francis Abele, an african american architecture. He designed numerous buildings on the Duke University campus to include the library, the football stadium and the hospital among other buildings!
