Cole was buddies with Kara's older brother, so they spent some time together. Kara had a little crush on Cole, but nothing ever happened between us during high school. Life got busy, and we drifted apart for quite a few years. Fast forward to a chance encounter at the gym. Cole saw Kara, but decided to play it cool and ignored her. Classic move, right? But a few days later, Cole decided to slide into Kara's Instagram DMs, and that's when things started to get interesting. From that point on, we started hanging out more, catching up on lost time, and realizing there was something special between us. The rest, as they say, is history. It was supposed to be a typical annual family camping trip, but little did Kara know, Cole had other plans up his sleeve. Cole had told Kara he couldn't make it due to a work obligation, leaving Kara disappointed and trying to convince him to fly out and join her. On the day of the proposal, Kara's family was acting strangely. For the first time ever on this camping trip, they wanted to go out to eat. They were fussing over Kara, helping her with her hair, makeup, and outfit choices. Although Kara found it a bit annoying, she didn't think much of it at the time. Kara's Aunt Nene, who has a soft spot for lakeside walks, convinced Kara to take a walk with her dog. Reluctantly, Kara agreed, thinking it was a little cold for a walk but wanting to make her aunt happy. During their walk, Aunt Nene suddenly started running away, leaving Kara feeling cold and annoyed. Just as Kara was wondering why Aunt Nene had the sudden urge to run, out of nowhere, Cole appeared. Cole's proposal started off strong, but just as he was about to pop the question, their dog jumped up and knocked the ring out of the box! After what felt like an eternity of searching for the ring, they finally found it, and Kara said yes without hesitation.
